Hey all, seeing as most forums have a General Discussion, I thought LOTR should be no different! Here you can talk about pretty much anything, but obviously keep to the forum rules!

In order to not restrict other thread activity, let's try not to have any type of polls or opinion thread here -- does that sound good guys? Let's keep this just a GD thread, where we can talk about anything that's a brief subject -- vis-a-vis, NOT worthy of a thread of it's own.

If we make this too broad a thread...we'll cut activity in the other threads in this forum.

I'm not a mod, but this is what I suggest.

I was thinking that this thread would just be like the GD thread in the RP lounge, where people talk generally, and have a few laughs along the way

We might as well make use of this thread so it's not just sitting here. ^^;

What did you guys think of the ending (of RotK)? Did it trigger your "emotional side," or did it not affect you? I thought it was one of the most emotional parts of the entire movie (that I can recall right now). Sam was just so sweet and caring for Frodo, and I thought it was so sad that Frodo left him. (Although I was so happy when I read in the books that Sam later went to Valinor, too. ^^) I think that the movie did an excellent job on setting up the Grey Havens. It looked so beautiful. (Only my opinion.)

I didn't really understand why Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf had to leave...
