Ampharos and Arcanine are actually very good, with great special attack and speed. Feraligatr is pretty decent as well, with high attack and special attack. Pidgeot is average, but has great speed.

As for your team, you want to have many different varieties. Replace your Pideot with an effective Ground type like Rhydon (great HP and attack), or a Dark type like Tyranitar (he's just simply awesome) and try not to have more than two attacks of the same type on each. Don't give any of them weak attacks, because they're too big for those.

I have levelled them up to level 75 now.Sometimes instead of amphy i put scizor with fury cutter,slash,metal claw and wing attack.

I forgot to say,pidgeot is replaced with tyranitar.He has crunch,a.power,eearthquake,ice beam.He is also lvl 75.

Meh, it's G/S/C. Anything can really work.

This man's right. GSC was one of the most difficult eras for competitive battling because there were so many great defensive Pokemon and a real lack of the genuine offensive powers that have reared their heads in later generations. Your typical battle between good players would be a 200+ turn stall war, which may sound boring, but was actually the best the game has ever been. Every move had to be thought out carefully, you were always trying to out-predict the opponent, and just one small mistake could cost you the entire match.
