KotOR III Discussion and Wishlist |
|
Hey guys,
Over the past few months, all the four KotOR forums have had an increase in the amount of threads about the creation of KotOR 3, and what they want in it. To make things nice and easy for people to find, I'm going to make a sticky to discuss and speculate about this game, if it ever comes to be. Go nuts, Mishtram Neoseeker Moderator ------------------- I don't hate oldies, I just amuse myself playing with them.

I think Kotor III should tie in with Darth Bane or be in the middle of the Battle of Ruusan.

I would really like KOTOR III to pick up with Revan and the Jedi Exile in the Unknown Regions. Maybe add in T3-M3 and some other new characters.

I would just want a lot more freedom. Like for example, the ability to walk around a town, and maybe steal any vehicle you would like so you could complete a mission (darkside points of course). Just make the game more open.

Attacking any character you came across would be awesome. Do you know how annoying in was being stranded on Taris with all those Sith Troopers around in KOTOR I ?

I agree, I would like to see the Exile either with or going after, or even following the path of a deceased, Revan, perhaps with Bastila and T3 once again. Going past the known worlds would be fun, even if it was only a small area that you went into outside of the known worlds.
As for the free range thing, definitely, especially if they make it for next-gen level graphics and gameplay. Could you imagine the freedom of a shop system or skill system like that in Final Fantasy XII, where different people sell different things. I wouldn't mind if someone has to teach you how to use the force, not just you learning it out of the blue. ------------------- I don't hate oldies, I just amuse myself playing with them.

I would like to play the game about 20 years before KOTOR and seeing all the charactersn as children, seeing revan and taking his candy

It should be larger, more interactive and last longer.
You should be able to completely design your own lightsaber, hilt and all, and there should be a greater variation in jedi robes, including some with hoods, especially for dark and 'grey' jedi. The character should be younger, say late teens or early twenties and approaching the end of their training. This makes more sense than a jedi being cut off from the force then retrained almost instantly as was the case in the first 2 games. The player should have a choice of which peripheral characters join the group, thereby eliminating the annoying characters that no one ever uses, such as Goto and Carth. The game should be more open-ended and free-roaming. Think KotOR mixed with GTA. Locations should include, but not be restricted to, Coruscant, Naboo, Tatooine (But made more interesting than in KotOR 1), Alderaan, Yavin IV, Corellia and Ryloth. Most importantly: the developers should check the game thoroughly for any bugs, glitches, etc. prior to release.

I would agree, while I love getting a game when they come out, I prefer that even if it takes tons of extra time, the game be checked for all sorts of bugs or possible problems. KotOR II was a mistake in this regard, let's hope we don't face those problems again.

You know, we should write up a petition, get loads of people on it, and send it off to LucasArts. That might actually get us a game.

There are several petitions already on the net, actually. LucasArts has already mentioned that they are endeavoring to perhaps create such a game in the future due to the massive potential the game has and the following behind it. It really would be foolish if they decided to end the game here, what sort of person would consider that a viable business option?

Light vs. Dark |
|
I'd really like to see the "seduction by the dark side" path fleshed out more...essentially, more dialogue options.
The element that makes KOtOR great is the light side/dark side conflict in the main character. I'd like to see this inner conflict expanded, so that we can roleplay our characters to the max. In KOtOR 2, the light side was very easy to play. The dark side wasn't, for me, because I had an idea for a character who started out decent enough but was slowly drawn in to the dark side. That's kinda how the movies were, right? But instead you're faced from the beginning with choices like "save them" vs "behead them." Kind of extreme. I'd like the option to play a morally ambiguous character like Han Solo, who does the right thing but generally watches his own butt. Or to play an Anakin Skywalker, who starts out kindly but is seduced by power and falls to the Dark Side.

i know it probably wont happen but i would like a ;arge field and light jedi on one side and dark on the other, and then they all just run at each other and battle, this calls for a JEDI WAR
