I have to agree with this game and it's extremes. It seems like every couple of minutes in the game, either your shooting a guy in the back of the head or taking the bullet for him, and it's just a pain when you can't walk a path which only has minute changes (+/- alignments change of 1 or something), or even having a way to have a gray jedi, or just be a force user without being a jedi. All have their good points.
Another thing I would like to see is planets, and tons of 'em. Come on, we go to four planets and save the galaxy? At least give me ten, then I'll be happy to wander around on the Ebon Hawk or whichever ship it is by that time to complete all the missions. Make the game massively long, something like 100 or more hours, instead of the thirty hours most of us finish these in in our first rounds of playing it.

For KotOR III I would like to see:
More ability to kill people, in many situations I wanted someone out of the way but was unable to
More Races as Allies! C'mon, you see them walking everywhere in the game and movies, and we only get an Iridonian and a Wookie in KotOR II, how about one of Yoda's races, and actually have a use for short lightsabers, or one of Darth Maul's race
quote Mishtram
I agree, I would like to see the Exile either with or going after, or even following the path of a deceased, Revan, perhaps with Bastila and T3 once again. Going past the known worlds would be fun, even if it was only a small area that you went into outside of the known worlds. This would be hard to happen if you have to play as the Exile/Revan because though we know where Revan went, there were many options for the Exile, and that could conflict with a lot of gamers, though, that really doesnt matter that much, so I spose they could.

Personally, I loved about everything in KOTOR II. The only thing I thought was weak was the story, because they cut so much out. The randomized items, more NPC action, I thought were great expansions on the first game. The number of planets in 2 was less than the first one, but I didn't think much of it.
For the third one I'd like a new ship, sorry but the Ebon Hawk is getting kinda boring now. Also, a more lengthy story. Also the openess you get in Morrowind and Oblivion. That whole, being able to do the main quest first, then other quests or vice versa is great. But don't use the leveling system from Oblivion, I'd like things to get a little harder so that some of it is still a challenge late in the game, but I'd also like to feel like I'm super-powerful and can pwn most everything during the last hours. Somehow, that makes it feel like I've accomplished something by playing the game.
EDIT: Is it ever explained why Darth Maul is red and black as opposed to the "normal" Iridonian color. I assume that its the dark sides effect on him but I'm not sure.

I think that in KOTOR III, the developers should definitely expand on the weapons you can use. I would really like to see curved-hilted lightsabers.

What should be in KOTOR III? More playable races- I don't care about humans- I want to be a goddamn Jawa sith lord!!! More planets with more interesting side quests COMPLETE lightsaber customization More classes and more allies More freedom(i.e. be able to kill anyone) More in-depth storyline(Like KOTOR II was supposed to have) Prestige class for neutral characters(i.e. Grey Jedi) And lastly, a choice for an off hand- I want to be a jawa lefty Sith Lord And who the hell said that KOTOR II's Lightside/Darkside choices were too obvious? KOTOR I, yes, but in KOTOR II, they were nice and subtle, hence the echo effect.
quoteand actually have a use for short lightsabers, or one of Darth Maul's race umm...short lightsabers do have a use-they're balanced, so that it lessens the negative effect of wielding it with the off hand.

What I would like in KOTOR III:
1) Be able to start as either a Sith OR a Jedi. 2) Maybe work your way through a whole life, instead of part of some random persons life because that's the only point in which thier life is interesting. 3) As others have said, more allies, planets. 4) Again as others have said, more freedom of choice. You should be able to choose which race you are, whether you actually want to be a jedi or not, or a droid or a robot, hair colour, eye colour, skin colour, height etc. 5) Many more hours of games play too...

KOTOR 3 should be a racing game, and no starwars. just a bunch of cool cars. and you can buy new cars, and buy upgrades for them. than if you go to your garage in the game, there is a computer that you can play KOTOR 1 and 2 on. That would be a good move for LA.

Hopefully the combat system will be changed, partially the reason in most cases where you couldn't attack anyone, is because they weren't read as a target. Also KORTOR 3 should go more deeply into the Jedi and Sith legends. The original explored it a little and KORTOR 2 just followed its lead

re: KotOR III Discussion and Wishlist

Actually, I read that that III was in production as only 3 years or so after II with you still as the exile on the EH.
Sooo, in that respect.
I want the option in early in the game to either tell what you did in II and have effects shown, or have III have a 'memory check' that can read what you did in III. (Playstation has done things like this before but if xbox keeps all its saves on itself, I don't see why it cant check old saves.) The reason would be that whatever you did in II actually has effects in III. Such as if you did the quest where you renew the name of the Jedi on Dantooine, and helped the Administrator, you can go back to Dantooine and still see the Administrator there and everyone liking Jedi again. Or the opposite effect and See Azkul there and Khoonda having a more military setting.
Definately more planets and the ability to return to them and always find something to do. I didn't like how in II you could pretty much do all the quests in one trip and only have a few reasons to come back. There are many ways to force you to come back for various reasons, they should find a couple. (like, again, on dantooine they could have stopped you from going into the crystal cave unless you reached a certain level or managed to learn a specific ability. Make you feel like you earned your crystal.)
Fighting upgrades. I love the turn based fighting, it's just new, but I'd like more options in doing so. For instance, I think there should be sub-versions of attacks. Like, if you learned up to Storm and Kill, you have the option to learn a new power that combines the effects, casting lightning into your oponent as you immobilize him, and can eventually level up and become something that almost kills your opponent in one shot. Or being able to get that one power 'enlightenment' I think as an option if your a lightsider again. If you have master speed and master valor and all those, you can get enlightenment and power it up. Ooor, being able to use two attacks at the same time in the middle of battle period.
Being able to kill NPCs indescriminately. I just would have loved to just walked up and just killed everyone in a room for no reason. I would have put up with Kreia's crap each kill, it would have been worth it to kill some of the people who just stand there and don't say much uselessly.
I want to be able to BUILD my damn lightsaber. Nothing annoyed me more than not being able to design my saber. They should let you find peices to create the grip, emmiter, and all that, plus the color and actually be HOLDING that saber. That should be reserved for the workbench though, only allowing you to choose it's look by building it's pieces on the workbench.
Keeping up the good stories. I liked the Story in II (though I did not play I so that might be why. ... and yes I started from II and never played I) I think you should actually be able to see your actions change the story though. Like in II you go to all four planets, do the quest there, and be done. I want to be able to still go to the planets in any order, but have actual affects galaxy wide if you do certain things. And, the more planets you've been to, the more famous you are on other planets. Like if you went to Dantooine and Onderon, you could go to Narshadaa and have everyone saying "I've heard of your actions' to some extent. The replay would be immense because you would have differant results based on the various combinations of planets you can go to in various orders.

ok in KOTOR III i think the skill system should be reworked completely and become more diablo-ish. It should be very free roam capable with next gen graphics. keep it with microsoft or pc. Dialogue should be one the major focuses and should be enacted with actual vocalization into the mic( kinda like tom clancy's endwar coming out next yr read in on it if u dont kno wat i mean). I like the fighting system but i also like a lil more involvement instead of just pressing the button and letting the char do all the work, i wouldn't mind seeing it a lil more like the jedi knight series but more fluid. and of course the story should be amazing and long. im talking like consuming ur life long at least 150-200 hrs. and EGM wrote a rumor of lucasarts making the new kotor an mmorpg. I think that would be great, but it should also be single player capable, kinda like crackdown where u can mess around on ur own and then go online and play with oither ppl.
