*Sigh* well, I guess its time to say goodbye to this forum? Xander, Vile, Wolf, Seeker, Serial...where the hell ARE you guys? What happened? This and File#1 were really good games! Meh, I'm assuming it can't be helped. Well...my last wishes are this: Even if its not gonna happen (at least for now), I pray to GOD that there will be a File#3 and a File#4 just like the original "plan" said...oh for those of you who don't get it:

The original plan (from the start) was to make 4 Files in the Outbreak series with each containing 5 scenarios. So if you mutiply 5 x 4 you get 20 scenarios. Some may have mistaken that there were 5 Files and 20+ scenarios (25), but I'm not sure if that was part of the plan or not (Possibility, but I strongly doubt it). Alls I know is that Capcom only got half-way up with the series by making only 2 out of 4 Outbreaks...(I could assume you all know why they suddenly stopped making them) and I don't blame you guys, really. This and File#1 were very great games...I just wish Capcom had the time and the optimism on their hands to finish the series like they said from the start in their "plan". I'll be honest with you all, but I'm truly not sure whether or not this plan is still active or merely twitching in a zombified form...as for the future (Like Vile said) you never know...you just never know...

Farewell to you all. it was nice to be here and I promise I will keep on playing this and File#1 til they ever do make a File#3 and File#4, and I shall do the same for those, too. Good luck ;)

All the arguments are here stating that File #3 will not happen. However, even if a title failed to deliver great sales, it doesn't mean it's over.

With the new CG movie Biohazard: Degeneration, a new wave of Outbreak will occur. Without a doubt, that trailer gave us a glimpse into the year 2005 and yet another city being laid desolate to some major viral outbreak. Perhaps it's the G-virus? Maybe it's again the T-Virus?

Regardless, we still saw zombies in the trailer and the movie is set seven years AFTER the events of Raccoon City. With this in mind, it's very possible that Capcom is THINKING of reestablishing the title. Afterall, the formula behind the game, "an online survival horror", is a genius concept. All they have to do is learn from their mistakes with previous Outbreaks to make File #3 happen.

While no publicity has been given to the thought, it's without a doubt within Capcom's reach. Just look at what they're doing with two other, old dead titles... namely: Street Fighter and Bionic Commando. Two seemingly less important titles are being given another developmental shot. Why? Because they had a great concept, but arguably underdeveloped. This is evidence enough that a File #3 for Outbreak is still likely to occur. The only problem is that we can't claim that they're in fact doing it, we can only give optimistic speculation that they probably will.
