My friend was over the other day, and I showed him [link removed] It is a site with cheats, bugs, dupes, etc for final fantasy xi. He told me it was against the rules for ffxi to do this. Is this true? I am used to cheating on video games for my whole life, so I was sort of shocked to hear this.

FFXI is an online game, meaning that one person cheating effects everyone in the game. Because of this cheating isn't allowed, and if you are caught cheating you will be banned from logging on to the game again.

There are several ways to exploit the games economy that are not considered cheating, but simply bad manners.

This is a cheap way to get around advertising in my opinion, so I'm closing it. I'm sure you could have been more creative.
