Hey guys! I am very proud to be hosting this forum's very first Header and Footer contest! ^^
Without further ado, here are the rules!
» Dimensions «
I'm not going to be that mean about the dimensions, your allowed to go a little over the requirements, but not too much.
The maximum height for the Header should be no more than 150px, and should not weigh more than 100kb.
The maximum width for the Header is 650px.
The maximum height for the Footer is 125px, and should not weigh more than 50kb.
The maximum width for the Footer is 400px.
» Submissions «
Each artist can submit up to 2 headers and 2 footers, just to make it fair for everyone and give everyone an equal chance. However, you can feel free just to enter 1 header or 1 footer, if you don't want to make a matching set. Although matching sets are nice. ~_^
» Text «
The text on the header must have the name of the forum at LEAST on it, just so people know where you are without looking at the links. Even if it's just a small "Garfield" in the corner of the piece. It would also be lovely to have 'Welcome' somewhere on it, but it's really your choice. ^__^
The text on the footer can be varied depending on what you want to say, such as "Come back soon!" or something along those lines. Just be creative!
» Editing «
You can make updates and changes up until the deadline. After that, no more updates or changes can be made. This is to prevent people from voting on your graphic, then you changing it. That wouldn't be fair. I'll know if you changed the piece because I'll be updating this post with your work, and I'll be able to tell if you changed it.
If I find that you've edited your graphic after the deadline, then I might actually have to disqualify you. It's not fair to change your graphic after it's been judged. So just please keep all updates and edits BEFORE the deadline. ^__^ Thanks.
» Voting «
Since there's a fair amount of activity in the forum I thought it would be a good idea to make this a voting contest rather than a judging contest, because there could be alot of votes.
Just a few things~
One graphic per piece - You can only vote for ONE header and ONE banner. The voting will be posted, and dealt with right in this thread.
One person's graphics - It's not mandatory, but it would be nice if you could vote on one person's header and footer. I mean, if you honestly like someone's header but another's footer, then by all means vote for them! But my personal opinion is that a matching header and footer really bring the forum together. ^_^
» Commenting «
It's great if you could please comment on entries as they come in, but please remember a few things.
Good - That's awesome! Although I suggest you change the font, it's a bit hard to read!
Bad - That's HORRIBLE, I hate everything about it. Why are you even entering it? Get rid of it.
So, if you don't particularly like an entry, tell them why you don't like it. Give a reason. Other than that, happy commenting! ~_^

» Last Note «

Entries from all members will be posted below. If any members have any problems with their Header and/or Footer entries such as resizing them to fit the submission requirements, just PM me and I will help as much as possible.

Why would you make a header and footer contest for a forum with less than a page of topics, and it's completely dead?
