Problem players in your franchise |
|
According to the full madden 2005 review on ign.com today it talks about the final details on such things as franchise mode and how players feelings can alter and affect the team. I think that if my Bengals dont make an impact in my franchise season Chad Johnson will soon be complaing in the local news papers and on the radio. Who do you all feel will be the problem players in the team your going to start a franchise season with?

Well, I couldn't really say who would be the biggest problem player, but Mike Williams, of the Bills, definately could cause some problems.

As a Raider fan we all know it WILL be Charles Woodson. But Patriot fans beware. We already know Dillon is a complainer.

I dont think its a personal thing where only certain people cause problems. I think like if any high ranked player isn't getting his fair chance of time or stats than hes going to become a problem.

No i dont agree, surely its been programmed so that mild mannored players wont fly up in your face. Someone like Peyton Manning or Robert Gallery wont fly off the wall if they get pulled from a game.

From what I know, you can promote people to Captain and things like that. I would imagine that would help a disgruntled player. Re-do his deal?

Well ill play with Detroit, although to be honest the players there arent exactly the biggest on hold outs and complaing crap. If anyone starts complaining ill guess....uh....either Tai Streets or Hakim for not getting the ball enough possibly. Other than that i ant think of many guys who have personalities like that. It made me laugh in madden 04 when cory schlesinger was holding out for more money though, haha.

Well, the way I see it, statistics won't really matter.
I think the most frequent people to have problems would be veterans on the team. Rookies would not have as many problems, seeing as they are new to the team. But as people gain seniority, I can see how they would get a little more picky. I think anybody that has been on the team for more than 6-7 years should have some mall tiffs with the coach or something. But not all of them, and not frequently. ------------------- Magnate

quote Pistons ManiacI think statistics will. Like if TO only has 40 receptions for a season, Hes probably not ganna be too happy. but the yardage is on him.

I'm pretty sure if I only let Priest Holmes run the ball 5 times a game, he might start to complain. It has everything to do with stats and playing time.

quote I Am Steely PhilYeh id probably agree, i think that making the right or wrong people captains or mentors will affect what happens too. Certain players and veterans expect these roles and if they dont get them they will probly begin to look elsewhere. in the ign.com full review the bloke talks about it being announced on the radio talk show that John Kitna was unhapp at not playing so he had been asked to be placed on the trading block. (pretty cool how the radio anounces things like that aint it!)

how would this feature work? I mean most teams have 1 player that would be like this, but would it be a rating?
