Blocking Kicks - Impossible? |
|
I just want to know, has anyone ever blocked a kick? I haven't, and to be frank, I've never gotten anywhere close to blocking a field-goal before. Any tips/hints? ------------------- ![]() quote Jim Haslett

quote CdemonI know a great way to block punts.Take control of the player right behind your DT in the middle move him a little left so he's between him and the next guy. When they snap run through because all the offensive guys will be blocked and block the punt. For some reason they've called it an interception a few times because my player caught the punt. But for some reason and doesn't go on my milestones eighter. ------------------- Sean_e_b

you really have to be lucky. you have to time it perfectly. guess when hell snap it. other wise there is no way you will block it. its not impossible i know it seems that way though

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I've only managed to block a field goal twice. And I've never been able to block a punt. I've gotten so close, but blocking punts is just really hard. ------------------- Dead

to block a field goal, take someone fast, and line them up at the back of the Nzone, and over left or right "depending on whatside they are. You sould then have a clear path to the kicker. then you have to time it just right and run as fast as possable so you reach the line as soon as the kick is snapped, then just jump and block it. ive done it a few times my friend is a pro at it ------------------- [x]

Blocking kicks is hard. Pick a fast corner and back up from the line outside the end. When the meter is filled, move diagonally towards the kicker and try to time it so you cross the line right when the ball is hiked. Then start jamming A and run right in front of the kicker. If you're lucky, he'll kick the ball into your head. If you rush too early and get offsides for an extra point, it doesn't matter, they always decline the penalty. Don't go offsides on a field goal though if they need less than 5 yards for the 1st down.

I blocked an extra point and two punts but I still can't block a field goal.
