Hey!
The first time i played through this game and unlocked Morwen she was rubbish and just kept on dying before she could do anything.
I'm starting it again now, so was I just improving the wrong stats?; how should i use her this time to make her good?

At first, Morwen is useless. But, as time goes by and you get further and use her more, she becomes really useful. At least, I found her useful. Where I am, when she attacks, she takes double damage with just the regular attack.

Give her time. I find Eaoden(?) useless...

the best thing for being her is the steal item. you can steal axes for her from the "boss" ppls like grima, the orc in osgiliath and i think some others and she steals items from others and some are really good like bag of old toby sachel of old toby and i dont think i have found all of the old toby ones but ya shes really good....after awhile sry this is so long

You need to increase her Constitution and you need to increase her Spirit.

Increase her Con and she will have more health and that will keep her from dying quite so often.

Increase her Spirit so that she can have more Action Points as they will come in useful later when she has Cloak of the Plains.

The best strategy is to travel back to the begining parts of the game where she likely won't die and train her up for a while.


While you are there at the begining parts of the game, make sure to use Morwen's Steal Item skill to get more potions and herbs for the party.

Also have someone like Berethor work on Shadowcraft so that he can use Fear and then cast Fear on one of the enemy, then you just use Morwen's Steal Skill over and over as well taining everyone else. If you use this strategy, soon Morwen will have Cloak of the Plains and at the same time she will have upgraded her Dual Axes skill.

Make sure to have her learn Poisoned Wounds and Twin Wounds, as soon as possible, as there are no enemies that are immune to Poisoned Wounds or Twin Wounds.

Once she has Cloak of the Plains, whenever she uses Cloak of the Plains she untargetable and she can not be hit and she is not affected by attacks that effect the group either. This is A Very Useful skill!

At this point have her use Battle Haste over and over on the enemy when you have them helpless. Do this until she has mastered Rohirric Rampage as that will give her a melee attack that allows her to strike six times.

You now have a very effective Fighter as well as a very good Thief who helps the party.

After you have all the active skill upgrades use her Steal Experience to have her gain levels faster.

GamerJay4Ever mentions not being able to make effective use of Eaoden. Well to make the best use of Eaoden you need to work on his Spirit skills, to the point where he has learned Absorption, Battle Mirror, Scatter Health, and Leech Essence. Once you have gained these skills you should work on his Spear Skills.

Absorption and Scattter Health will help the party tremendously once Eaoden has them.

Improve anything that will help her live
there isnt really any decent armour for her but you can get some sweet axes
she does serious damage but you have to keep her going
just wait until she learns the 8 hit combo!

She doesn't get any decent Armour until you are nearly at the end, just before you get to the last chapter as I recall.

Until then you need to train her Spirit Skills, so that you get Cloak of the Plains as soon as possible and you also need to increase her Constitution so that you can get her Health up and you need to increase her Spirit in order for her to make good use of her Cloak of the Plains skill.

When she uses Cloak of the Plains she can not be affected by any attack for a short time. It doesn't matter if the attack normally affects all members of the Party, when Morwen has her Cloak of the Plains active she will not be affected.

Cloak of the Plains can be invaluable if you know how to make use of it.

Cloak of the Plains is even more useful if you have her maxed out in the Lightcrafting skill tree. You can revive your teammates while you hide, in case of emergency.

I tried to use her a lot, but no matter how much I used her, her strength and defense never got off the ground...

Eaoden in my hands is just beastly, not with spear craft but with Spirit Atatcks. With a polished Elfstone gotten later in the game, his HP Drain is stupidly damaging (about 8500 HP half-way through Minas Tirith) and heals him completely (he has about 6500 HP for me) - train Eaoden to have high HP and good defense, good spirit and give him a polished elfstone - he becomes very powerful, and defensively, now i given him his best armor, almost as good as berethor
Morwen is just rubbish though, don't waste time with her... ever.

What You Have To Do is travel to west or east ( i never remember which ) Emlet Gullies , and go to where the dead elf is .... after that if you run in circles near and you will get to battle wargs and orcs . i bump up her con to around 65 - 75 and use warg bane and double cleave to level up and learn rage of the madden . now your probaly thinking , what if i run out of HP or AP ? . well there is a cheat for this . There is a safe point right near you .Save and quit then load your game again. your HP & AP will be at there optimum (Full )Level !!!! Train Your People then go to rohan And Kick ASS !THERE ARE more training spots in the game ,so stay sharp , hope it helps , tell me how it goes (:
