Inferno for Soul Calibur 1. Also Rock, who is the same as Astaroth apart from his throws...
And Hwang is just like Xianghua, except for HIS throws...

On Soul Edge/Soul Blade, the "SoulEdge" character was basically Cervantes. But faster, and with one of two extra moves.
Also, don't forget Sophitia!, and Sophitia!!, copies of Sophitia, but with LESS CLOTHES!

And the evil version of Siegfried...

If ya ask me, I think the worst character is probably Berserker. He copies a lot of Astaroth's moves and on top of that, you can't use him in Arcade and Weapons Master mode.

The best is definitely Nightmare, he's powerful and has a reasonable speed. He's not fast, but for his power, it's good.

Thats not true because I am good with Talim making your opinion that Talim is crap just your own opinion. It is impossible for one to say a character is the worst because if you say one character sucks another may say he or she is the best, making it impossible to state that one character is the best or worst.

I mean she's crap when the CPU plays as her...

She's not always crap sometimes she can do pretty good. It's probally that you're really good with a character that you use against her. She's not actually that bad, but if your really good with some characters she probally wouldn't stand a chance because of your skill.

Well DG, Bardock 007 has a point here. The computer controlled characters can be tough even on the easy setting.
Also, about the CPU controlled Talim, She can beat the living daylights out of the CPU controlled Link who is supposed to be one of the best characters in Soul Calibur 2.

OK... I just tried using Talim again. Her damage is truly shite. But she CAN link together amazing combos. I managed to make a huge 300 damage combo in practise mode...

However, her costumes make me want to puke. That's why I hate her so much.

Astaroth...SUCKS!!! Astaroth is slow, and is like a weaker Nightmare. His range is good, but he's soo slow, i rarely land a blow on my enemy...

Now what about talim could make you puke. You know what. I don't want to know. I'm taking enought RX's already.

I find berserker and Astaroth to be terrible. Necrid is, too, if you don't use him right. Charade has potential to be terrible, but he's fun. I also don't like Taki. Who's the worst really depends on fighting style. I suck with brawlers, and thus I suck with Astaroth.

I don't think that I've ever really tried using Astaroth. I have something against really huge, really slow characters... =/

Down with big characters!

I had to use him to get all the profiles. I've used everyone a couple times. Of the three bashers (Necrid, Nightmare, and Astaroth), only Nightmare is good as one. Astaroth is a mediocre (sp?) sniper and pusher, and Necrid is a good ripper and a decent pusher. Nightmare is good as a basher, ripper, and sniper, but he's sub-par as a pusher. (Bashers are those who toss in a few massive attacks, rippers are those who go in and beat-down, pushers are those who go for ring-outs, and you should all know what a sniper is, but I've loosened the definition dramatically for this game.)

All three are in bad taste, but there's no denying that Nightmare is GOOD.

Well i'm going to have to reconsider this as Charade isn't all that bad now and same with Lizard man, however down with assasin and berserker!.

And did i mention that i hate Sophitia and Cassandra and Talim when i'm fighting againts them in the main game!.
