NCAA 2006 wish list |
|
This board is a discussion on what you would like to have in this next years NCAA college football. Me personally would like to have it where we can make up our own plays, such as picking a route for a certain players and telling our linemen to block a certain way, which will make the coaching part of it more fun. What are your guys' ideas?

The only things I really want fixed for NCAA 2006 are the bogus high scoring and high stats simulated AI games in the Dynasty mode, and for the momentum meter to be revamped to make it more understandable.

I agree, those simulated stats make the dynasty not as fun, and i don't find it real that the teams always score up in the 40's, thats not right. That would be something nice to be fixed.

Volts. next year as a WR.

A play editor would be great, but EA will never do it for the college level game. Sales would drop on Madden. Even though Madden is a terrible game, I have contemplated buying it just for the play editor.
Also, fix the endzone glitch. ------------------- My job is not to die for my country. My job is to make the other fool die for his...

- Fix the recruiting some. To many 6'7" WR's that run a 4.16. To many 6'10" 350 OT's. To easy to move LB's to DE's and have a 94 freshman. To easy to move MLB to OLB and have an increased rating. To hard to move HB's and QB's to other positions. More players need to stay instate too. I have way to much success getting players from Miami, Florida and Southern Cal. I end up with only a few instate players if any.
- Passing game glitches could be fix. WR's drop to many passes, DB's tip to many passes and after the ball is tip it bounces around like a beach ball. - KO returns for TD's and blocking kicks is next to impossible. Punt returns are little easy (very easy to get 20+ yard per return).

I actually find KO returns for touchdown to be on par with real football (I return one for a TD once every like 10 or 15 games). I, however, I'm right with you on there needing to be more blocked field goals. At least have a bad snap once in a while! DB's need to be toned down a bit, like you said; I don't pass well at all in zone coverage, nor can I ever get a deep ball completion unless my wide receiver has a MUCH higher speed rating than the CB on him. Most of my passes are 10 yards or less comeback patterns, or screens that either go pretty well or get broken up highly easily backfield. Usually 2 out of 3 times they fail. Needless to say, I run a LOT.

How about the ability to upgrade your stadium? I have been wanting to do that for years now. It's just not the same when I take a 1-star team to the top and stay there, all the while my home stadium is still smaller than the local high school stadium...

Well, I dont mind the DB's and the WR's I can pass all over the computer or my friends. I am a major football fan and watch any game that is ever on and also play QB and i know that sometimes WR's drop passes and sometimes DB's have great coverage, u guys are just mad because your guys don't play like gods. You have to read the defense and know what route would work best. Like you can usually get a 1 on 1 coverage if the opponent is in a cover 2 and u send a fly route. Try motions and get mismatches ect...
But i do agree with the "beach ball" so gay.

I play on Heisman remember, and even though the stats and scores of my 7 minute quarters are close to being real, it's extremely tough to pass in this game. I don't have a problem with the dropped passes, just the ridiculous abilities that linebackers have to run a 3.0-40 speed to deflect my rapid passes. This is even with a low AI defense setting.

Another thing that's bothered me is that the game is very glitchy. Everytime I play it, it freezes at least once. Its not just my console cause I have it on both PS2 and X-Box and it does it on both. I agree with everything else that was said, passing is a lot tougher than Madden. Plus, the gameplay seems a bit slower to me.

my primary wish is for good receivers to have fewer drops. i'm sick of games where my QB is 12-25 and my receivers have 8 drops. i know receivers drop passes, but if he has 90
+ catch. it shouldn't happen very often. also, i'm sick of seeing my DBs with 99 speed get burned by slow-ass receivers. this has been on the wishlist for years now...officials should not be walls on the field. i also think the progression should change. it seems like players benefit more from sitting on the bench. it should be more production based. ------------------- Rocky Top...you'll always be Home sweet home to me Good ol Rocky Top Rocky Top, Tennessee

^ If you play on Heisman, it's basically impossible to throw the ball. I have a QB with 99 throwing strength and 98 throwing accuracy, yet I struggle to complete more than 50% of my passes. Deep passes are very very difficult unless it's a play action.
I'd like to see the ability to save certain plays. Maybe have a record book with the video footage of your greatest plays.

Like in madden 2005 i would like to see position management. Where you can adjust form a pocket passer to scrambler as a qb and run or pass blocking where you can adjust to you're building a dynasty.
