Nightmare is better Spawn is awesome but in this game he seems to weak (Unless using Abomination which does mad freakin damage). Nightmare does good damage and not too slow.

No its one of Nightmare's special attacks but it only works when he uses SoulEdge Complete you soul charge and use his special move.

ENOUGH OF THIS BILLY JACK BULLSH#T!!!! I've been reading all of these posts and frankly there are some pretty good arguments. But, why cant you see that they are both eaqually mached? Spawn and Nightmare have both weak and strong attacks. I know what you are all thinking
"Nightmae is stronger" "no Spawn is stronger" wha wha wha.
Plus who cares who has a bigger weapon they can get stronger weapons in Weaponmaster mode. Now any one who can't see this is, how should I say this, "blind"

wow, i lost IQ points looking at this thread. This is why many forums dont allow guests to post... Hell even the members talk bullshit to everyone else here

Frankly Spawn and Nightmare are among the best characters in the game. Many people say nightmare is slow, what about jade crusher? what about the forward and horizontal strike attack? thats damn good for ringouts too may I add. Both spawn and Nightmare have fast moves, powerful moves and moves that fit both criteria, But I have to go with nightmare for his longer reach. Sure, spawn's unblocakble may be long range but its not that powerful, its easy to dodge and cant hit people on the floor. Nightmare's is more powerful, and while even slower than spawn's cannon move, it can hit people on the floor and slightly harder to dodge than spawn's. Spawn may have abomination (damn powerful, I tell ya) but the health drains very quick. any blocking or dodging game will leave you screwed, and spawn doesnt exactly have the speed of talim, despite being fairly fast. Soul calibur for nightmare, on the other hand, increases defense and slowly gives you health. The increased defense makes the regeneration of health more vital and powerful than it seems, which is critical in battles against inferno or close matches. You can afford to whittle guys down with fast but weak attacks like jade crusher and can still aford to take a few risks after, such as the away-away-vertical strike-vertical strike attack. Damn this x-box controler, I still havent learnt the letters of the buttons XD. Many people here go 'omg spawn cuz hee kan fly lolz! noob!' well, his levitation attacks are predictable and easy to deal with, especially with vertical attacks of guys with long range, not mentioning any nightmare in particular.



Hopefully people can try and give reasons other than looking cool or flying, but if the thread must stay at this level, Niightmare looks better. Jesus christ, spawn's second outfit is so ugly that I think im related to him.
