Oh man, that's three characters placed before the almighty Cervantes.

All of the chars rule, I know, but once mastered, the best two are Voldo and Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu is actually good even intermediatly, as you can use the pogo sword and such with just a few combos. Also, Voldo has so many combos and stances that you can use. Such as a normal attack to the blind stance, heavy slash to mantis crawl, flaming run attack back to mantis, then a superwyrm.

Yea, the pogo sword rocks. You can avoid every attack except upper ones by holding down Y. Plus it can take out an opponent in a couple of hits.

Yeah, Spawn is really good against AI, but you can't use him to many times against real players. He's partially based on catching people off gaurd, like Astaroth. If you get hit once, you keep going down. It's one of the nasty things that the AI does with Astaroth and Barbarian. They attack you, and then they chain like there's no tommorow. Voldo is good at chaining too, along with Maxi. Those four are best at it. The big two from sheer strength, which just knocks the players down, and the other from attacking speed. Cervantes is in between, and is OK as the whole chaining attacks. I just don't like Cervantes' style.

Well, he can't chain attacks that well. Cervantes is more of a one hit wonder. But you've just gotta love his style. No other character is good enough to use two BIG swords at once.

Lizardman is the best because his moves can really send your opponent flying everywhere. YEAH! P-rex (pimpasorous-rex as i like to call him or put it) Lizardman's da pimp, tha cold-blooded killer! As for other characters, Maxi's combos are infinite, and Nightmare's badass (especially with his soul calibur and souledge and souledge (growth)) it's good to fling your opponents with his Midnight Launcher, it's like I hit a home run or somthing Maybe I really don't have a best character. They're all good, but Ivy sucks, yet I still don't know how I make it through with her Oh, and one more thing. Spawn is great with his Abomination. Just don't go into battle modes where you can't regain health. As for Astaroth with his Thanatos, great combination! Good one! He is almost impossible to beat with it, well for me that is. Oh yeah, not to forget Yoshimitsu and his distinct trademark of pogoing on his sword, great and hilarious!

I think all the characters are great because they are all made for a specific kind of player. For me, it's Nightmare all the way.I have MASTERED him and i love destroying characters who were made to defeat him.( Astaroth, Ivy, Taki...) The best part is that since I've mastered him, I no longer feel a need to constatnly win. I turn it on whenever I want to. Even a few noobs have beaten me, not because they got lucky, but because if I beat the crap out of them, they may get turned off to the game. That's why I save my skill for those who are worthy...

I use Nightmare a lot too... I'm actually best with him. I prefer Cervantes, because he is truly evil, while Nightmare is NOT. But he's a bit slow, and not as powerful as he should be. The dread pirate is getting old...

My friend can own me about 70% of the time, unfortunately... Bloody annoying Taki... *growls*
