You can enter the turrets by going up to a turret and presssing the 'enter vehicle' key, b default that is 'E'.

I was actually meaning drive and steer the boats.
In 1942 it was possible to drive, or sail (whatever floats your boat ) the boats round the island to other positions.

All info here with regards to medals, badges, ribbons and ranks although if they are right then it is completely stupid. Some medals require 4000 (yes 4000) global hours of play and beyond. The expert knife badge requires 18 knife kills in one match. (someone stand still and let me kill them over and over I hear people shouting!!)

Does one global hour equal 60 minutes? I haven't heard the term 'global hours' before.

I've had this game since a week after it came out and I'm still a Private, and I can't fly anything. I'm still addicted to CS:S.

Get off CS:S as th shooting mucks you up in BF, trust me I'm the same. You aim for the head in BF2 and end up missing, aim for torso instead.

If you want, I'll set up a flying school server some evening British time or at the weekend, I did it for BF:V and got about 3 or 4 people from here up to a real high standard.

And yes, 1 hour global is 1 hour normal in my knowledge. It seems insane, the amount and I only hope it turns out not to be true.

I got the meritious commendation medal yesterdat BTW. Not sure why, but I had over 40 teampoints, so that may be it.

Well if their is anymore, I will set it up. It will be non-combat, purely their to listen to me and let me help you take off, alnd, fly about and attack a target that you want to attack not whatever comes your way, lol.

Okay, just got back from exercise and so will set up a training server with a decent map, where the server will be non-combatant only, people who fight will be kicked and the IP banned.

I hope to have it up between 6 and 8pm GMT tomorrow night and if a lot of people turn up I will extend the timings. Please ensure you have a microphone to talk to me if possible, it will make things so much easier.

What I will do is get the guys who are being taught into one squad so I can talk to you, then once we are happy you are advanced enough, you can setup a second squad for just practising with the other people who have completed the lessons with me.

It won't take long and should be pretty good fun, but it will have to be pretty disciplined so I can get you all through as quick as possible as obviously I don't want to spend all night on BF2 without killing some folk in battle!

I will also come on xfire so you can direct connect, but the server name will be shagura's helo school or similar. I'll post here to confirm it is up too.
