I try and try to land a plane. I managed to land it once on the MEC airbase on Oman, but I took a lot of damage. My friend came over and landed on the boat the first try. With taking no damage. I guess I am really just doing something horribly wrong.

Remember to keep the speed low, the nose up while still descending and to land gently as slow as possible. I go real slow, nearly stalling and just use the afterburner to gain a bit of speed quickly if I do stall.

re: BF2 Tutorials |
quote Ev3Uhh, yeah, if you're trying to get out. If you're trying to pick someone up or repair you've got to land. I find landing easy. I get a lot of distance from the airstrip (so that even if I was pointing right at it it'd be too far to see) and then let go of the accelerator (I don't decelerate, I just let go). By the time I get to the airstrip, I'm usually at about perfect landing speed. Slow enough for the landing gear to be deployed, but fast enough to still have control and keep my nose up. If I'm going too slow and my nose is dropping, I accelerate a little and level out. If I'm going too fast, then there's a fair chance that even if I did slow down I'd overshoot and die, so rather than risk it I pull up and go around for another try. Once you get it down you can land like it's nothing. ------------------- ![]()

Does anyone know how to pull a helicopter out of a 45 degree tilt. Sideways, not forward or back.

re: BF2 Tutorials |
quote ChApLiN ChArLiEYou have to allow for the bombs to travel according to your speed and altitude, don't bomb when you're directly above the target. Also make sure that you're level and are heading straight for the target (or leading it, but make sure you're heading straight for your prediction), don't bomb if you're tilted. Can't really say much more, it's sort of hard to put something like this into words. It needs to be learned by doing it. ------------------- ![]()

Only since you're a nub, if you were l33t you would bomb at a high altitude or dive bomb as you have a better chance of remaining undetected and won't damage yourself.

Undetected? It's a JET! They don't have to see me to lock on with their noob rockets.

Flying low stops you being detected as you are more likely to be behind a small hill so they can't lock on with their rockets.
