It's a marketing tactic by EA so they use the goldeneye trademark. Desparation because of how much they suck at making Bond Games. Well so far this game looks alright.
But yeah the story has nothing to do with the original Goldeneye. This has more to do with Goldfinger. More of a spin off of Man with the Golden Gun.

Night fire wasnt too bad, you could have a crap load of fun on multiplayer too.

EA owns the rights to Bond until 2010 so they can do whatever they want with the license. It's business. But telling people not to buy this game just because Rareware didn't make it? Take that garbage elsewhere because it's not wanted here.

I just hope EA can make a better step in the right direction. So far, no bond game has even come close to matching the secret agent feel and fun of Goldeneye for N64. Im sorry but its just how I feel, both Agent Under Fire and Nightfire were screw-ups compared to Goldeneye in terms of multiplayer, and a shade too outlandish in single player. They seem to follow the trend of the movies, they get more and more fantasy world than actual espionage. Doesnt anybody remember Dr. No?

What I was saying was this game will not be better than the games from before and I was right. I got James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing and it was a good game, so never buy an EA 007 game unless you have already played it before you do, same way with nfs.
bad things No tank or any other vehicles. Really bad auto-aim system. It has below average multiplayer on-line. Does not have bad vs good very often, if at all. No face off with Bond. good things long levels smart ai you get to be bad I never did say dont get this game because Rare did not make it, its just that the Goldeneye team knew what they were doing. These people now apparently had no clue as to not only what a good fps is, but they also dont know what a good 007 game is. You would think they did not know Goldeneye 007 even existed in the first place. I think David Doak is finally getting close to making a Goldeneye killer and he should since he was the lead designer of Goldeneye 007. TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is going to be really good and EA is publishing that so maybe he will work on a future 007 title. This message was edited by coreyc1984 on Jan 12 2005.
