15 years ago I successfully completed this game, and don't remember being stuck at any point for long (get me!)
However, I have recently reacquired it and I AM STUCK!
I need to get bananas to give to the monkey to get in the castle, but the banana person (Sale the alligator on the beach) only seems to want to talk about unusual canned food. I remember swapping this item for bananas last time, however I currently only have a ribbon, and don't know how to get the tinned food! Who wants a ribbon in exchange for a tin? Aaargh! I've walked all around.
Please can someone help?!

I've just found the answer in the walk-through. Yay!!

[color=teal]you give the ribbon to the little bow wow in the room next to madame's meow meows house and she's all like thanks then you give the tinned food to the alligator who gives you bananas and then later at Kanalet Castle you meet some monkeys. give them the banana's and they will give you a stick. hooray. then you take the stick and meet tarin right of Mabe Village he's next to the green honeycomb thing and he will knock it down and give you honey. when you go to Animal Village you will get a pinnaple. At Tal Tal Heights that one dude is stuck outside of a cave and he's gonna ask for your pinapple. give it to him and he will give you a Hibiscus and you go to Animal Village to that stuck up goat who writes letters. she will give you a letter. deliver it to Mr.Write and he will give you a broom. give it to that lady who is always sweeping. she will be in Mabe Village or in Animal Village for some reason. she will give you a fishing hook. you give it to the fisherman who will give you a necklace which is the mermaid's necklace that is in Martha's Bay. Give the necklace to the mermaid and like she said she will give you a scale. its the Magnifying Glass. Hooray! but im stuck with the fisherman so i dont really konw how that last part plays out but thats what to do

hey i just started playing this game and if u go to meow meows house she has a lil door beside her house were bow wow or what ever that thing is called was tied to go in there and there will be a mini bow wow and if u talk to it it will ask u for the ribbion say yes and it will give u dog food after take the dog food to the banana guy and he will give u bananas.
