Actually, that little dorky spin move leads to some pretty cool attacks if you check out his move list. For example, simply hitting O (after -> -> X+O) will unleash a devastating spinning tornado (high) kick that, if you catch someone with it, will destroy them. He can also do a tornado mid (f/d + O) or a tornado punch (triangle).

hi fools. 3+4 is great. use it for oki. 3+4,2 is great, 3+4,d/f4 is higer risk/higher reward, and 3+4,4 is....well, it's just there. the multi throw coming out of 3+4 is sweet as well. same animation, different break. pretty sweet.

yea 9i admit that the moves after tha spin are uber ... but the spin takes SOOOOOOOO long that i usualy get batered even trying to atempt it

I agree it's kind of a waste, actually. No good opponent would ever let you get by with it, and thus, it's used so infrequently that you have to think super-*bleep*ing-fast in order to make use of it and bust it out when it would actually help you.

That's my problem with King. I'm trying for the life of me to get "good" with him, (I just made it to Master level today, in fact), but I just can't.

He has a buttload of moves, but many are slow and/or hard to recover from, and he doesn't have that handful of "go-to" moves that so many good characters seem to. I guess I actually need to master his throw repertoir, huh?

That's not even one of his best moves.

I'm wondering how you peeps play King. King is a poke and throw character. so, this means 1,2, d/f1,2, d1,n2, 2,1 etc are your main pokes. throws like Giant Swing, Tombstone and Muscle Buster are his best throws. (GS is really good since you can buffer it into anything)
use moves like f,f2+3 and 1+4 as okizeme (the art of keeping opponents floored with either random or carefuly chosen moves)
PS: f2,2,2...why call this a good move? it's no combo, not even on counter hit. plus, if it's blocked you're on -13, retaliating with anything will result in a heavy CH

+ to me it seems like the makers ran out of ideas and decided to make a stupid charecter or something like that.

and he always beats me and he is just annoiying

Agreed. It gets blocked a lot, and then there's always heavy retaliation. If the first hit is blocked, you're screwed, basically.

Oh, and something else I noticed about f+2, 2, 2: it seems faster and much more useful in DR. Anyone else notice this?
