True, Tekken 3 was indeed a big improvement over the second Tekken as well. That's why I gave it a higher score than 2. But if you compare Tekken 2 to Tekken 1 it definitly deserves at least an 8 for it's time.

Well, if you even compare tekken 2 to all the games of its time, it was one of the best, cause it was 3D and had more moves than the other games, also, tekken was a little more realistic than the others (street fighter, mortal kombat, you know what i mean), so i also would give it a high calification.

They actually increasingly improve in each Tekken game. That's why they get better in each game.

I disagree. They try to, yes, but Tekken 3 was better than Tekken 4 in my opinion.

I'm one of those people who believe newer games are almost always better. So I think Tekken 4 is better than Tekken 3. But Tekken 5 is better than both of them combined.

Yeah, i think that t4 was quite dissapointing.. the only good thing that it had was the irregular arenas like statue or mall, but it wasn't enough to cover the slow gameplay, the no-that-great graphics, i mean, there are games of it's time with much better graphics, and of course, the short number of chars, buecause of that i prefer TTT than t4, even if it had worse graphics, and it didn't have a story line, all the other stuff was great, faster gameplay, a lot of chars and of course, the tag system.
As for T5, I aint got the game, but i saw a lot of videos, and it really looks cool (even if the irregular arenas are out), it has really cool graphics, the fast gameplay is back, there are 30 chars (enough for me) and the floater combo system has been improved, so i guess that this one would be the best one.
I think that now, they should release a new Tag tournament, even if it would have worse graphics than T5, cause of the tag system, i would like to have all the new chars to be combined, with a faster gameplay than TTT, and an improved floater system, that would be the best tekken game yet, but i dont think that they'll release it until ps3, wich is a shame, cause we will have to wait at least 2 years

Wait how can anyone prefer Tekken 1 over Tekken 4? You should lower you rating for Tekken 1 and upper your rating for Tekken 4.

And you should let people give their opinion and respect it. Not everyone thinks like you, your opinion isn't necessarily the right one.

I don't understand how either,I played Tekken 1 and it was nothing compared to Tekken 4.This is what IGN thought of all Tekken games.

I say whats so good about Tekken 3 I know it was a great one but how did it match the best Tekken game so far.Same thing goes for Tekken 2 and Tekken 4 look at that.When I first played Tekken 4 it felt kind of weird because there wasn't any Tag but I got used to fighting without it and now think the Fighters fighting alone is better.
