well, that review must have been done by comparing the gameplay, the graphics advance and how popular were them in their times, i}I think that I would agree with them, but i would give t5 a 9.5 (I don't got the game yet, but I've seen a lot of combo videos and stuff)

Tekken 1=9.9
Tekken 2=9.5 Tekken 3=8.4 Tekken Tag Tournament=9.8 Tekken 4= 7.4 Tekken 5=9.8 Tekken GBA= Id have to have to give it a .00000000000000000001... Bad graphics.. Very few Characters... and bad colors.... at least they have nina... thats why i gave it that 1 right there... | |

If their ratings were based on what they were now, all Tekken and Tekken sequels deserve at least a 8.5 to a 10.

These are my ratings based on the graphics and gameplay of games today.
Tekken 1: 3/10 - I played it at an arcade and in Arcade History, asn't impressed...........then again, that was 10 years ago. Tekken 2: 6/10 - Certainly much better than Tekken 1 and introduced many new characters into the series. Tekken 3: 8/10 - I loved this game when it came out, especially the inclusion of Eddy. No Kazuya sucked though... TTT - 8/10 - I played this at an arcade also, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Can't wait for a TTT2  Tekken 4 - 9/10 - Tekken 4 is probably my most favourite out of all of them, besides Tekken 5. I loved the destructible scenery and Tekken Force was great. Better than Devil Within, anyway. Tekken 5 - 10/10 - Well, this is obviously the best in the series and with heaps of unlockable characters, many returning from Tekken 2. The graphics and levels are top-notch. They should've ditched the crap voices and got some good ones and totally just get rid of Devil Within. Tekken Advance - 2/10 - Nothing compared to the console versions and way too easy. -------------------  | |

I have never played Tekken Advance. I have, however, played the rest.
Tekken 1: 8/10 - I like this one because it's the one that started the series. Hell, if it wasn't for this game, we wouldn't even HAVE these great games! Tekken 2: 9/10 - A major improvement, if you ask me. Definitly worth the score. Good graphics for PS1, great gameplay, etc. Tekken 3: 10/10 - I loved it beyond all reason. The selection of characters was huge and the story continued on very well. Tekken Tag Tournament: 11/10 (phbt, i wish) - Tekken 2 and 3 combined. It's heavenly. Tekken 4: 7/10 - I'm sorry. This was a bit of a dissapointment, IMO. Indeed it had GREAT graphics, but the gameplay simply didn't stand out. Tekken 5: 10/10 - Brought it back up. I loved this game. Duh, they would suck today. But about 10 years ago Tekken 1 was like a breakthrough in fighting games.
You rated Tekken 4 6 and Tekken Tag 7? What? Tekken 4 is better. I wished Tekken 5 still had the fighting concept of Tekken 4, but bigger, like a whole Mall instead of a section. ------------------- | |

I think I'll rate these games again since I wasn't really thinking last time when I was rating.
Tekken 1-This gets a 6/10,it was so and so.I couldn't really judge it anyway since I had only played the arcade version. Tekken 2-This gets a 6.5/10,the fighting system had improved a little with more characters but Tekken 1 and 2 seemed too similar. Tekken 3-An 8/10 for this one,a lot better fighting system than the last two but I didn't really like the wardrobe in the game and no Kazuya.The bosses were great though. Tekken Tag Tournament-An 8.5/10 is what this one deserves,the whole fighting system was different now but became a lot better.The character selection was great and had some good minigames but this lacked in story but not too bad,any story that was in here wasn't part of the real game. Tekken 4-For this one a 9/10,the fighting system was great.You can do moves more advanced now as well as moving other directions made it even better not to mention interactive environments.The character selection you can say was ok,had the characters I loved in it and that what mattered to me.Tekken force was my favorite part,the one that was in Tekken 3 was good but the one in this game was awsome.Really challenging too.The story was great as well. Tekken 5-The best one gets a 9.2,the fighting system that Tekken 4 had was improved,making it even better.In Tekken 4 it has the best Tekken Force mode and this had Devil Within minigame which was rather too hard to complete so it wasn't as great as Tekken Force on Tekken 4.The story is the part I like the most about this game.It's very funny,a lot of action,and perverted.The character selection was perfect for this game,it had my favorite character plus it had a new character named Devil Jin who rocks.Customizing characters was another feature that I loved,I liked making cool looking characters look even cooler. Tekken Advance-Better than Tekken 2 but worse than Tekken 3,it gets a 7/10.It had what made Tekken 3 fun but it lacked in story,the character selection was too small,and it was far too easy. ------------------- | |
