Weird stuff on PC version

I have this problem on both Ww and T2T. i've played the ps2 versions of all 3 games, and i've gone through them. now i got it for pc, but everything goes insanely fast in comparison to the ps2 or GC. fighting with the chick on the boat in the beginning of WW is impossible, she's moving so damn fast. Same on T2T. mobs in the beginning are insane cuz everything is going so damn fast.

Bug? or? what is this? anyone know? can i do anything about it? please help.

re: Weird stuff on PC version

I had this same problem. It occurs when any of the Sands of Time trilogy is played on the PC, or, more specifically, a multicore PC, which most are now but weren't widespread when the games were made. It has to do with how the processes are threaded through the cores. I won't bore you with the details, but basically, the game is doing 2 things at the same time, causing it to go fast, but you wanted to know how to fix it. Easy enough:

Once the game has FULLY BOOTED (you're at the menu screen, don't try this while the cinematics are still playing or it won't work), minimize it with Alt+Tab. Then, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager. Hit the 'processes' tab at the top and it should bring up a list of EVERY .exe your computer is currently running. There will be two processes in there for Prince of Persia. One is called POP2.exe (or something similar for T2T or SoT). The other is fully spelled out, like princeofpersia.exe or something like that. For BOTH processes (you can probably get away with just one, but I'm not sure which one), right click on the name, then select 'Set Affinity.' The screen that pops up will have one checkable checkbox for every core your computer has, starting with CPU0 and working up to however many you have (CPU1 for dual, CPU3 for quad). Uncheck all but one of the boxes. It doesn't matter which one. Then click 'OK.' Re-open the game and everything should be running smoothly. You will have to do this again every time you open the game.
