how old is the controller pack? they use a battery (same as many of the N64 carts themselves). perhaps the battery has died... | |

quote Duncan Idahowell, its not JUST an external battery. If you pull one apart you'll see it has a live memory chip in it. That's what you are saving to in games that need it. The expansion pack is extra RAM to increase performance of the console. It's pretty much equivalent of increasing DDR memory in your PC... | |
