I miss the N64 era! |
|
There are probably loads of threads on this but I was going through my whole collection of N64 games today and it does bring you back too some great memories.
I was only young when my brother bought an N64 but I remember playing with all of my family and this other guy, the games were so fun to play, especially with other people. There was 5 of us playing each other for hours. I think most people had an N64 back then so it kind of made you feel like you are apart of something cool, if you know what I mean. It's quite sad that I will never get the chance to play Goldeneye or Mario with anyone again. I mean we're in a new era now and that level of enjoyment that I spent on my N64 can never be relived. At least my bro still has his N64 and every single game. It's definitely worth keeping as a remainder for all of them great memories. What's everyone else's opinion?

I am still living there at this moment. I have my N64 at the right of my desktop hooked to a 19" TV. I just purchased WCW nWo Revenge this past week. I'm a retro gamer, so I game in the past. I look through forums like this to find others that are still enjoying some of those great games. Many times I only find people that remember the system and don't have it anymore. I sometimes find those who, like me, still play. I'm still purchasing games, that I missed back then. I'm still having those memories. The only thing that I miss from back then is reading about the system and its games in a game magazine. Sometimes it seems that in forums like this that people only pass by....sometime. I guess I do miss that excitement that people had over the system.
As far as that "new era" that we are now in, I don't even pay it any attention. I really don't notice anything concerning it. I think the reason why is that my passion for gaming is still in those games of the past generations. And I love cart based gaming! ------------------- ![]() ![]()

Generations come and generations go, it's a way of life. If the status quo never changed, what kind of living is that?
That aside, even though I too miss my childhood days of unquestioned innocence which indeed ran through the N64 days, at least I'll always have the memories and my fully-functional games to get back into if I wish. -------------------
