Least favorite MegaMan game? |
|
My least favorite Mega Man game is Mega Man 1. That game is annoying. It took me weeks to beat it! The music sucked too. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd probably only give it a 4.

I'd probably have to go with Megaman 8, for several reasons.

Mega Man 6 is my least favorite. It was just dull, it lacked something that the rest of the previous titles had. I can't say for certain what it is lacking, you can just feel that it's wrong. It's like Capcom coughed it up and slapped a Mega Man logo on it.

quote RikkuLoverNo, no, what are you saying? Megaman 1 is awesome. It's one of the best, and the music is great. Granted, it is one of the harder games, but that helps make it good! Wouldn't you rather have some challenge in a game? That's what Megaman is all about! As for which game is the worst, daveRT and Johnny G both have valid points. Megaman 6 I would say is definitely the worst of the nes games, but at least it had some good music and bosses. It did feel like Capcom just spit it out, though. Now, for Megaman 8. I like anime, but basically everything else that was said is true, and proves why it sucks. HORRIBLE voice acting, extremely annoying bosses, uneven difficulty, bad story, and terrible music. But I think the control had a more Megaman feel than the game I will get to now. My pick is Megaman 7. Megaman looks so weird, he's hunchbacked or something, and he takes up like half the screen. The controls are very bad, especially for a series known for it's play control. The bosses are corny, and the music is pretty crappy, although better than in 8. There are stupid new characters, like that dumb Auto (where did he even come from?) Add to this one of the most frustrating final bosses ever, and you have one sorry excuse for a Megaman game. Although 6 and 8 can be considered worse, I personally don't care for 7 much at all.

Basically in my opinion Megaman works on a sliding scale. 2 and 3 were the best... as you go either way from there the series just gets more and more crappy. If I had to rank the games, I'd put them like this:
Megaman 3 ('cause it was my first) Megaman 2 Megaman 4 Megaman 5 Megaman 1 Megaman 6 Megaman 7 Megaman 8 ------------------- I work to keep my aim true, I long to paint your skies blue. I work to keep my half full, I smile as... It comes, it goes, as it comes, it goes, as it comes, it goes, as it comes it goes... Go....

My order from favorite to least favorite:
Mega Man 7 (Come on guys what's wrong with this game. It's my favorite.) Mega Man 8 (This game is not THAT bad) Mega Man 3 Mega Man 5 Mega Man 6 Mega Man 2 Mega Man 4 Mega Man 1 (I'm still trying to figure out why people like this game better than Mega Man 7) This message was edited by RikkuLover on Oct 25 2004. ------------------- ![]()

Well RikkuLover, we've already pointed out the many faults in Megaman 7 and 8. But if you happen to like them, that's fine, that's your opinion. I think 7 and 8 appeal more to newer school gamers, who like the flashier graphics and sound. Older ones like 1 and 2 are better for us old school kind of guys, where play control and level design ruled.

Ah, the list thing . . .
Mega Man 2 (This is, in my mind, one of the greatest games I've ever played) Mega Man 3 (It was like a continuation of MM2. The play control, music, bosses, all create memorable experiences.) Mega Man 4 (Skull Man rocks! And the Mega Buster was a great addition.) Mega Man 1 (A solid game, but a little too short. Sets up everything.) Mega Man 7 (I like this game because of Bass and the storyline. Not much really stands out.) Mega Man 5 (Decent game, the Protoman story was good. However it was incredibly easy. Music is forgettable, weapons are boring save for the Charge Kick. It looks cool but kind of useless if you don't slide much.) Mega Man 8 (Beautiful backgrounds and Tengu Man . . . the only good things in Mega Man 8.) Mega Man 6 (Why Capcom? What did we do to you? This game was actually made by a third party contracted by Capcom. No wonder it wasn't that great.) Newer games appeal to younger players. The reason I prefer the older games is because I grew up playing them.

Are you serious about Capcom not even being the ones who made Megaman 6? Or was it a joke?

Well I heard Mega Man 6 was rushed just like Mega Man X6 was rushed. Even though they were both rushed I actually liked them.

quote Vile MegamanMM6 was licensed to Nintendo exclusively. Apparently they were the ones that made the game and that's why it is lacking. I was wrong about the third party thing.

Oh, well I guess that's close enough. It sucks that Capcom would let someone else make one of their games, even if it was Nintendo.

For shame. Megaman 8 rocked.
I don't really have a least favorite... Megaman 1 was pretty damn tough first time around... -------------------
