I have had the Sims deluxe edition with add ons for about 3 years, with no problems at all.
Recently I bought the Sims2 double deluxe and attempted to install it. Everything appeared to be ok except that the walls in all views were flashing red.
In reading forums and the readme.txt I found that my video card was possibly not compatible so I bought a new video card NVIDIA GeFORCE 7600 GS OC 256 MB.
After installing the new card Sims2 worked perfectly.
Unfortunately my old Sims deluxe edition now has major problems. The graphics repeat in patches all over the screen.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Sims Deluxe Edition twice and the problem persists.
Could you please help as I would still like to be able to use the old game?
