I remember back then, my favorite guys were the Dinobots. Even though I can't remember their names (it's been sooooooo long) I knew what they transformed into.

Oh yeah, Grimlock was my favorite. The only other name I can recall right now is Slag. Man, I should really watch the movie again. Did the DinoBots have the ability to combine into a huge Transformer like Devastator?

Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Snarl, and Swoop. I have trouble remembering them all exactly but I think (Macphisto correct me) it is:
Grimlock- T-Rex Slag- Triceratops Sludge- Brontosaurus Snarl- Stegosaurus Swoop- Terodactyle Interestingly Snarl was absent from most the movie. Though I believe he appeared standing around in a seen or 2. -------------------  Education Forum|Books & Literature My Brute | |

That's correct, Koloth. I think Swoop is actually supposed to be a Pteranodon (sp?), at least according to the continuity of the show.

I liked the dinobots, but the rest of the transformers from G1, in my opinion, just stink. (sorry if I said things too bluntly

The Dinobots went downhill quickly after the movie (and in some ways that downhill spiral began during the movie). By downhill I'm referring to the fact that a group of five angry, insanely powerful, and not very bright Transformers became comedy act. The simple fact is that Grimlock was a joke in season 3, but he was a complete badass in season 1 and 2.

They're not gone by a longshot since they are still stomping Decepticon tailgate in the comics and the novels. Heh, big Grim joined in with Megatron for a while in the comics. One of his shining moments of late had to be his rumble with Devastator in the novels.

I always thought Dinobot was a specific character? I had no idea there were more thna one. I never watched the old Transformkers series, but Iv'e seen every Beast Wars and Beast Machines episode and Dinobot was always my favorite Maximal. Could anyone provide a picture of the dinobots from the Transformers?
