Well I've bought this game for my brother's birthday this coming Tuesday, looking forward to playing it myself though.
Never been a die hard fan of the series but always enjoy the high speed action for a few weeks. | |

Yeah MC III is, in my opinion, the BEST Racer in video games I have ever played.
I actually thought that MC II was WAY TOO HARD, well some races anyway, so I got bored and frustrated and just stopped playing after a while. MC III though is INCREDIBLY fair and challenging without being like STUPID hard. Get the game, I promise you will love it. ------------------- ![]() It's official. I had played NFSU2 and was quite impressed with it. But I read reviews who rated MC3 a better game. I bought MC3 and initially regretted it. I can understand why some people take the game back straight away - and I was tempted too , ie, the graphics and frame rate were not good compared to NFSU2. BUT after playing the game it hit me what a FANTASTIC game MC3 is! The graphics improve and with so much going on the screen at the same time you understands the poor frame rate. But as you play the game the graphics are forgotten and you realise what a fantastic racing game this is - and yes, it's not too difficult! (so far!) Get this game, ignore the poor frame rate and you soon realise you have a gem on your hands.

re: Introductions |

I hated ALL the NFS games because I hate the way that the cars feel and handle. My biggest gripe with NFS games has always been that, for me at least, the games feel like EA can't decide whether they want to be realistic or arcade-like and the games just don't succeed for me, for that reason.
Meaning that NFS games aren't as realistic as lets say Gran Turismo games. However, they are FAR more realistic than Midnight Club and Burnout games. Games like MC III are so unrealistic and wildly arcade'ish that there is no doubt they are created for pure fun. However, for my taste, NFS games just can't seem to make up their mind what they wanna be when they grow up, so to me at least, they are very stale and uninteresting. ------------------- ![]() It's official. Also, I love racing games - and the ability to mod your car up as you progress - BUT NFS goes 'over the top'. I am not that serious about every single tiny bit of modification that NFS does - whereas MC3 balance it right. I am just adding bits that improve handling, acceleration etc cuz in terms of racing, thats all that matters. The vinyls are great too but NFS is just too overpowering on this side. Also, MC3 is pure arcade racing - drifting aimlessly into corners is a great thrill! NFS focuses too much on silly SMS messages which detract from gameplay - a bit like SSX Three does against SSX Tricky - but thats for another message board!!

Hey, I'm Rizzy11 and I got the Remix version of this game and Resident Evil 4 for £25 together! Bargain!
I'm so glad I got the Remix version - the remix forum looks dead, although I can't say much about this one either, but I'll be posting in both since the Remix is just the same apart from new Tokyo level, more cars and better soundtrack... Right now, I think I'm only about 5% through this game, although I've been playing it since yesterday night. Altogether I've played roughly 8 hours of this game in just two days which is not bad... I just cruised around for about an hour then did some tournaments/racing etc. My starting car was the Golf R32, mainly because my dad has the same type of car I think... and I pimped it out and all that. Then, I sold that for about $21000 because I wanted another car that I unlocked, which was the Lexus IS300 and I pimped the living shit out of that, honestly, the feeling when you see your modded out, customised and pimped out ride is just great, eh? So, I did a few more stuff with that car and I now have a bike with Phil on it... I also modded the shit out of that and I actually have a lot of money left because I kept winning competitions etc... so I have about 30 grand burning a hole in my pocket, really. See you around!
