Does anyone know what exactly "Silver weapons" are?

Yeah I tried doing the first mission on normal but I still didn't unlock the silver weapon, even though I finished all of the secondry objectives.

Silver weapons are weapons that have a silver coating and have unlimited ammo. you unlock them at the end of the story mode. I think you only unlock the weapons you find in the armament missions, but not sure of that bit

Silver weapons do have infinite ammo & silver coatings.
When you finish Normal difficulty, you get silver weapons for Easy AND Normal. All your weapons that you start with / pick up are silver.
When you finish Hard difficulty - you get silver weapons for Hard AND Blackops. On Blackops difficulty you always start with the M16 A2 (with grenade launcher)!
This makes Blackops 'easier' than Hard, although, you also need to get full secondary objectives and destruction objectives!

oooh right, I wondered what that "Destruction" thing was, So how do you do it? I know cause destruction obviously, But is there a certain thing you have to destroy or something?

Its nothing you haven't really done before -
i.e. the blue cars in the first level all count as one,
you just have to get all the big explosions in the level (and some small hidden ones!)
But with infinite ammo in the grenade launcher - its actually good fun!

Judging from other's posts and that I have completed 3 levels on Normal and received nothing,my conclusion is...Yes
