DDRU2: A bit laggy? |
|
I know it sounds weird, but hear me out. When I loaded up U2 for the first time, I played MAXX Unlimited (bad idea, eh?), and it seemed that there was a slight delay between step and reigstration.
Don't tell me it's my dance pad - I have an Ignition, and if something's wrong with that thing, I've yet to find it. IS there anything wrong at all? Am I just paranoid?

Are you using a progressive scan monitor of sorts? You'll need to adjust the timing. It could be the Iginition too.

I wish I had PS... and I seriously don't think it's the Ignition.
Oh, and while you're here, want to go a round on Live?

Just to make sure, are you talking about registering steps or a lower FPS with the arrow scrolls? The arrows do not scroll at 60 FPS for some reason for everybody who's played.
I'm busy with an essay. Perhaps tomorrow night.

A little of both... though it may be my suckiness that's making the timing be off. (On the arcade machine, I often fail MAXX... oh, well.)
Thanks. I'll see about tomorrow... but I'm moving soon, so my stuff will need to be packed sometime in the next two weeks.

I thought it was a bit laggy too when I first got it, it just seemed a bit slower than DDRU1. Even my sister thought so, but we got the hang of it after awhile.

I just want to say once more that almost everybody is getting less-than 60 FPS arrow-scrolling smoothness. People who say they've seen the arrows jump so they couldn't read which arrows to step and messing up their combo have either a defective disc or trouble with their XBox console. Ironically, there's a few people who say they've always had 60 FPS scrolling.
In my observations, I've seen a scrolling improvement in 3-4 player games, even online, but not much longer than 1-2 players. WHAT MATTERS IS THIS DOES NOT AFFECT GAMEPLAY AT ALL. IT WILL NOT AFFECT HOW YOU PLAY.
