quote ashleyluvscheatsumm.. WHAT? are you sure you didn't mean quote Fixedi hate text type, it meakes me go insane, i mean, its really not that hard to type thre right way. but you should use Torchic. Then catch a Taillow, and when you get old Rod, a magikarp, then evolve it. Agron is a good steel/rock type, and harmiyama is also good. then you can get voltorb from the New Mauville. ------------------- ![]() GO STEELERS! Dude, English. Use it.
Toast-You seem to forget that Roxanne, the first Gym Leader, is a Rock Type user. Unless you level that Torchic up enough to evolve it into Combusken, you're gonna have one hell of a time getting past the first gym. The team that got me through the game several times was Treecko, Marill, Tailow, Minun, Duskull, and Vulpix. Of course, I evolved everything as needed, and sometimes switched out Minun for a Geodude/Graveller. (Wattson is a real pain) ------------------- Don't tell me if I'm dying, cause I don't wanna know. If I can't see the sun maybe I should go.

sure, ill had ya. i happen to have this game for a loooong time now. anyway for ur starter i suggest treeco, not just cus he can destroy the 1st gym leader but he makes a good sweeper because of his speed. you should have no trouble until you get to the 4th gym.

Whatever you do, do not start with Treecko. Your Sceptile will get thrashed by the time you fight Flannery. Start with Mudkip since Torchic will get thrashed by the time you fight Winona since her Altaria knows Earthquake. Swampert should beat Altaria with Ice Beam. Your only weakness with Swampert is going to be Tate and Liza since Solrock knows Sunny Day and Solar Beam. Good Luck!
These are your overall important weaknesses: Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert: Perhaps Brawly, Tate and Liza, Drake Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile: Flannery, Winona, Tate and Liza, Glacia, Steven Torchic/Combusken Blaziken: Maybe Roxxane, Winona, Tate and Liza, Juan, Wallace This message was merged with other messages by Light Druid (moderator)

Treecko is your best choice... it ends the first and second gym if he's evolved at second (If not we have - abra's, taillows, ralts... i would get a taillow and a ralts.) then the third gym is wattson, and thats when things get rough. But, if you have him good, use leaf blade. if not, go back to island and rock out with a geodude, and put geodude in the box. 4th gym, you already got a magikarp and evolved it, no worries then. 5th gym, you're swellow, gyarados, and obviously gardevoir can go through it (with a few poke center turns i think). 6th gym, you could get an electrike going ther so you have 5 pokemon now. 7th gym, gardevoir and sceptile (Hopefully with leaf blade please) and 8th gym, sceptile all the way.
For the elite four they must be pretty good by now so you can just go using them comparing the advantage to another one's pokemon and changing; The team what i said is Sceptile Gardevoir Swellow. Electrike. Gyarados. (geodude as filler to 4th gym but its okay to keep him) thats the team i use most of the time, but im changing it recently, but it always worked for me ------------------- Using and knowing how to play something isnt the same thing.

To be honest, ingame stuff is so easy that you can pick almost whatever you like. Just make sure to lvl your pokes up enough. Other than that there's no difference what you choose.

quote Dm1Dude, how are you gonna manage Glacia with that team, huh?? Unless you capture Rayquaza and teach him Flamethrower or Gardevoir with Flamethrower (I doubt he can learn it) since Glalie is gonna be tough.
