Click start, then run, then type dxdiag

Post your processor and Memory (RAM), and the click on the video tab and look on the top right and post the video card name and memory.

Yep were gonna need a long cable to play LAN. Has any1 one here use 3DMark from www.madonion.com to test there PC's, maybe we should compare benchmarks?

My PC SUCKS. 1 GHZ Pentium 3, 256 mb of non-ddr ram, and a PCI Geforce 5200.

1 made my own PC got sick of buying crap off PC world, i bought a 2.2ghz p4 from pc world got benchmark of 3,500. Built my own got 12000, 2.1ghz(1.7ghz) AMD, 128Mb 333mhz ddr ram, nvidia Ti4600 128mb card, asus 8x mainboard. cost about £600.00 to build 2 years old now, time for upgrade!

I went to a local computer fair about 4 months ago with my mate who knew about stuff like that (although i reckon i now know enough myself to do it in the future) and we got all the parts i needed. I got Pentium 4 3.00Ghz processor, 512MB DDR, 80GB HDD and Nvidia GeForce FX 5900XT 128MB graphics card aswell as the usual stuff like DVD drive and stuff like that. £570 i paid in the end. I was told that was a brilliant deal by my mate at the time and i've since found out he was right because i haven't seen a better deal since. Just thought i'd share that with you!

WOW Have you put the machine together yet and bench marked it with 3D Mark, i'd like to know its score. I submitted my score when i built mine to madonion.com and i was about 20th, top pcs had dual processors, i wouldnt take it that far, my pc would run anything anyway(well apart from morrowind at full distance and detail)

On 3D Mark03 i scored 5059 points. Which isnt bad for the money me-thinks. I can run FarCry on Very High settings and the game is certainly very playable but i turned it down to High as i like ultra smooth frames. I'm REALLY fussy you see. I wont play a game unless i can get it running as smooth as Halo on Xbox. That game kind of set the standard for me.

I tried to run the FarCry Demo on all the lowest settings and I got about one frame every two seconds.

Dont worry about it. Although FarCry is a superb game, i personally found it overrated

I usually never play any game apart from rpg's, i got halo and got addicted! Since then ive downloaded far cry, unreal 2004, i dont like em? for some reason i like Halo, dont ask me why, i always download to try, morrowind, beyond divinity, sacred then bought if i liked it. I paid £34.99 for halo and its been money well spent. Demos are like a movie trailer they show you best bits, you buy and feel ripped off!
Ive downloaded games, movies that are realy rated and they have been crap, i think im a little off the subject now. lol.

lol. i still think it is funny that you thought if you went to the lan menu and the other dude from an unknown location went to lan menu, you would see each other on the list . anyway, i dunno why but when i dled the halo pc demo and tried to play online it was lagging unbelievably bad. i tried a few different servers and it was the same thing. i have 3 mbit/second cable connection and 2.4 ghz processor 512 mb ram 128 mb radeon 9600 se graphics card. i even tried running halo at lowest specs and it still didnt help the lag. noone has been able to give me an adequate reason for this

Are there official servers on the demo, or are they just servers run off people's connections? The demo netcode is also probably very buggy and crappy in the demo.
