I hear that Halo 2 is coming to PC. But exclusively for the infamous memory-hog operating system, Windows Vista. They're scheduled for simultaneous release sometime in 2007.

my decision to get vista when available is based on the most part by halo 2

but im pretty sure the releases arent simultanious, i think halo 2 will come out shorty after vista

Halo 2 will certainly support DX10 graphics cards but the game itself is not being re-written to specifcally take advantage of upcoming DX10 features. The more robust your graphics card, the more visual features and fidelity you will be able to enjoy.

it does say the reason for it being vista only is the Live features, but wether it is an intentional vista promo or not, i still believe it will sell vista in the same manner Howard Stern sold Sirius radio, meaning numerous people will get vista (at least this early) for the primary reason of halo2.

Hmm, so it does. That was the original reason many sites reported, I haven't looked into it for so long I hadn't realised they'd released a new statement on it

I hear Windows 95 has vastly lower memory requirements, let's all use that. Windows XP is five years old now, which is an extremely long time in computing, of course the requirements of Vista will be higher than that of XP.

exactly, its the next gen of OS, so it require some decent hardware, but then again, you can get by on a watered down version of vista (without the fancy look of the Aero inteface), but then again, if you cant run vista, then any kind of newer game is out of the question

Still doesn't matter if none of us can handle a Vista...
