Ok i know this belongs in movies but I like you guys here.
Im makeing this cause I want to talk about Star Wars, not just hoiw Darth Maul is so cool I want to know what the big deal is.
Dont get me wrong I love Star Wars, but I se all these peaple asking the same questions over and over, or just wasting a little too much time on it, I see so many people act like it is something worth killing for but when it comes down to it its just a movie its nothing special.I would like too talk bout the movie and see what everyone else has too say just dont start flaming me saying im an evil trekie.

It's so cool because of Yoda. He is Star Wars and Star Wars is him. He will truly live forever.

Yeah I know all that stuff is cool but why waste allmost all your time on it. Actualy now that I think about it its probaly because its something we will never have the fantasy of being a great Jedi or saving the galaxy from a corrupt government.I guees us humans just need to have something better than our own lives even though our lives probaly have much better things in it than any movie, except for Natalie Portman. But honestly in my opinion, Star Trek and Star Wars are both good!

EDIT:I do like star trek but I'm not a complete trekkie thanks to the New Series Enterprise.

Why is Star Wars cool? it provides an escape from our meaningless little type-up-this-right-up-that-clean-the-latrines-with-my-WHAT lives... into a galaxie where space ships zip around, lasers shoot everywhere, and villians who destroy whole planets are fought by heroes, whos courage, fortitude, and-in some cases- cup sizes, are all larger than life...

Vader will have a new suit

- Contrary to belief, Padme does not die in the movie

- The Jedi Massacre will not be seen, it, along with the events between 3 and 4 will be chronolized in a series of books printed by Lucasfilm to keep the company in business

- Tarkin may be seen for a few minutes

- Boba Fett's new father figure will be Dooku, and he will NOT kill Mace Windu, in fact, he probably won't fight at all

- Vader's injury resulting to him becoming more machine than man, "will be something new and never before imagined" according to Lucas

- The movie will start with a space/ground battle resulting in the fall of the Separatists

- No Stormtroopers for this movie, only Clone Troopers

- 3 confirmed duels; human Vader vs Obi-Wan, human Vader vs Dooku, Yoda vs Sidious

- Duel of Fates may play during the first and third duel I mentioned above

- The Trade Federation will become the stronghold of money for the Empire, it's unknown now what happens to Nute Gunray

- No Death Star for Episode 3 either

- It's rumored that Sidious may have a lightsaber with a hue of purple darker than Mace Windu's; just to show he's the worst of the worst and the strongest Sith Lord ever

- The Millenium Falcon, or a ship resembling it, will be a ship for transporting the heroes away

- No TIE Fighters, or X Wings

- Qui Gon may return as a ghost or a voice

- Palpatine may have the Clones do some harm to the Republic, and say that since the Jedi are the generals, they are responsible, making the Jedi outlaws, thus leading Vader to kill them *in other words, pull a Hitler*

- James Earl Jones will do Vader's voice one last time, but for only 5 minutes

- A new villain will be introduced and probably killed. This new villain is the traitor in the Jedi Order who deleted the file on Kamino and may have ordered the Clones

One of the things that is so interesting about Star Wars are the worlds and technology. They aren't that far fetched, and they are very interesting. So with all the information there is to find out about Star Wars, many people spend their time watching the movies and reading the books. The Star Wars world is a world that you immerse yourself in. It could be real. Star Trek is just boring though. The Enterprise is very 50s. In Star Wars, everything is used and looks dirty. The Enterprise is very smooth and un-detailed. No steel panels like the Millenium Falcon. The things in Star Wars are made by materials that we find today. The ships don't look perfect, they look like "a piece of junk." In Star Trek, things are very clean and smooth.

Then take a look at repulsorlifts: they use the magnetic field of a planet and repel against it. That is not far fetched at all. You can do that with two magnets. If you flip one of them, they repel against each other. Star Wars also appeals to people who like adventures and action. And the beliefs of the Jedi are not too far-fetched either. Star Wars has good and evil. The world we live in today has evolved from ancient cultures and beliefs such as those of the Greeks and the Romans. And one look at Greek and Roman myhthology and you see Star Wars. Good versus Evil, the Heroes Journey, wise men on the side of the road (Yoda), battles against monsters (Rancors, Wampas) going into the fortress of evil (Emperor's Throne Room). Those things can be identified with.

But overall it's just cool. What's not to like? Funny droids, big battles, lightsabers, floating cities, planets covered by water with storms raging, bounty hunters, Yoda on Dagobah, friendly Han Solo, a callow farmboy, a princess and a queen, and believable things.

She's to appear in A New Hope and Return of the Jedi(Ghost-like form at the end with all the others). It's rumored the scene that Lucas already shot for ANH is having Padme on Leia's home planet as it get's blown up by The Death Star.

This is still undecided. Not all the jedi's may die, some may, in an act of cowardness and safety for their own lives, turn to the darkside and join Vader....then you'll have a Sith Massacre as Vadar and Sideous kill them all.

Last I heard, it was official that he would fight Obi-Wan, fall into a lava pit, Obi-Wan goes to get help, Palpatine/Sideous shows up with Droids, pulls him out of the pit, puts the finishing touches on the whole brain washing thing and makes Anakin become Vadar.

I'd like to see Lucas explain this. Each color of the light saber is suppose to represent their rank and/or importance in the Jedi/Sith Order...

No...it's suppose to be near the end. According to the recent rumors...Obi-Wan escapes on the Falcon with a baby luke and leia

I'm pretty sure this is Darth Bane or whatever his name is...the Old 1000 year old Sith who was presumed dead, but actually is alive due to some powerful crystal that enhances their Sith Power. Sideous presumably gets ahold of this....
