I killed the 2 Asakura generals so I could save Hide and Magoichi.And later the 3 reinforcement Azai generals.
And got 1,000 kills. What am I doing wrong?

i think you are on the wrong stage buddy, go to yamasaki, kill off all akechi generals as stated in the first mission, then ignore the second mission "defeat mitsuhide" as long as he doesn't get too close, then beat all of hideyoshi's guys cept him, then kill mitsuhide. its not that hard i got it first try on hard, but you will not get the weapon if you
A. let any enemy generals come to ten-oh
B. kill hideyoshi before you get the weapon

the supply team comes from hideyoshi's camp and heads north

So you say that it is on Yamasaki,meanwhile the faq of Echang on Gamefaqs isnt for the 5th,but for the 6th:

Can you explain exactly how you got it?
I defeated the Akechi generals,the ones on the mision the other no.And them Hideyoshi's,also the ones on the mission.Then I killed Mitsuhide but nothing happened.

Are you sure you are correct,is Ina's 5th on Yamasaki or her 6th.Cuz Echang's contradicts you.
