All-Time Sidequest Classics |
|
We all know Zelda wouldn't be what it is today without the great sidequests. Something to take your mind off the big picture and get a quick sense of accomplishment. So my question is this, what is your favorite sidequest? Your least favorite? Most frustrating? Most rewarding?
I think the Anju/Kafei sidequest in MM was by far the best, and most rewarding. It may have taken several attempts, but every time was better than the last. The watering fiasco in TWW has to go down as the most frustrating in my book. Not only did you have to sail all over the place to find those little trees, but you had to do it within the time limit, which I could never seem to manage. -------------------

The actual reward in the Anju/Kafei quest wasn't great, but it was still rewarding. After doing it so many times you can't help but feel good when you finally complete it. Besides, didn't you feel great knowing that you're reunited a couple?

Yes, I love the sidequests in the Legend of Zelda games!
Oh yeah, and the Biggoron Sword one was fun, too. I didn't even know about it until pretty recently. I also liked the Happy Mask Shop sidequest, although it wasn't that long. Oh, and some of the things on Windfall Island in Wind Waker were fun, too. The hardest/most frustrating? Ooooh... I think I'll have to go with the Nintendo Gallery thingy in Wind Waker. That one is really hard. This message was edited by Luigi Number 1 on Aug 16 2004. -------------------

the Kafei and Anju sidequest in MM was great. It was something that I completed as soon as I could just so that I could say I did it. Majora's Mask by far had the best sidequests, like the four mini-dungeons you have to complete to get the Fierce Diety Mask.

The Anju and Kafei quest in Majora's Mask is my favourite side quest ever. It combines love, action, etc.
I really liked to see Anju and Kafei meeting again, and how they decided to not escape from the town, dying both in peace. ^^' Awww, I'll never forget that. It was just GREAT! >>'' Another great side quest was the one to help Romani to get the aliens away from her farm, and helping Cremia to transport the milk to Clock Town. My least favourite has to be the one where you have to get the Zora eggs back (Majora's Mask). I hated going to those rocks in the middle of the sea to defeat those giant snakes and get them back. ><'' ------------------- *

I totally made a thread like this yesterday... ;_; Though I suppose this is different enough. ^^'
I think the Biggoron sidequest to get the Biggoron sword was the best for me. It provided a great reward for a race that, in itself, could be a race. You could either wait until after you'd traditionally done the Water temple or go for it before you even do the Forest Temple! Such a great quest... -------------------

Let it henceforth be known that Majora's Mask's sidequest P\/\/N all other sidequests, with the possible exception of the Biggoron Sword.

Yep, the Majora's Mask Sidequests are definately the best since the whole game revolves around the Sidequests. Although, the Fishing Side"Game" was pretty awesome too. Best damn fishin' game I ever played!

I also liked getting the Fiercy Mask (completing those 4, difficult mini-dungeons), though you had to give those kids all your masks if you wanted to got that one. ><''
There was also a funny side quest in Ocarina of Time, where you had to ride on Epona from Gerudo Valley to Kokiri Forest, beating that guy with the rabbit mask. But he always said he had been one second quicker than you, so there wasn't really a price for that one. >>'' ------------------- *
