I think that i am going to buy kessen 3, but im not sure. So is this game good??

btw is this game in english or it is only japanese. In the pictures there are only japanese language.

first, obviously, it's in english. Or japanese if you import it... haha! good one no? But serious now, if you like strategy you will love this game. If you like chinese/ japanese history, you'll love this game. If you like indept storyline and neat fmv's, you'll love this game.

You simply move around the battlefield with your army represented by the about 40 men running around you. You have different officers to command and make strategic dicissions before and on the battlefield. While there you have the option to use officer skills which add more depth to the fighting. There's skills as rally which raise your unit's attack for some time and there's more agressive skills like, 'fate' or 'freeze'. Which take out a certain amount of the enemy officer's troop number.

Then there's this little skill named 'rampage' which lets you control the officer seperately instead of his whole army and take out a bunch of enemy soldiers. You can even head for the enemy officer once you beat down 100 of his men, increasing your unit's condition and taking the other officer's condition down.

If you're not on the battlefield you have the ability to buy and sell equipment, including troop types, for all your officers. There's a whole bunch of different armors, helmets and whatnot. Certain horses even have special skills and powers that can affect both the officer or the entire squad.

Each officer has its own troop abilities. That means, his ability to command a certain troop type. For example, some guy named 'Katsuie Shibata' is really good at commanding mounted spears. That includes any troop which is mounted and has spears equiped. But that won't make him good at controlling mounted bows, or whatever other troop. You can offcourse give him other troops but he won't do very well with them. But even then, his skill in controlling such troops will go up if you use the troops special skill...

The music on the battlefield is also rather great. It's not super, uber great, but it doesn't getting boring at all. It's good enough and won't work on your nerves, unlike other games of which I will not tell the name! *cough* Jak3 *cough*

Maybe I forgot a few things... Like replayability that is quite high. You actually get other cutscenes the second time trough then the first time, and you get an extra chapter! the holy chapter 13! I've been playing it about five days now and am at the beginning of chapter 8. Any other game, excluding Final Fantasy X, I would've finished by now.
