I was thinking of getting this game, as it looks quite fun and I enjoyed the demo which I recently got.

So here's the thing. I am totally and utterly rubbish at racing games, and have no interest in them either. So what I want to know is; how difficult is the pod-racing section?

I've heard a lot of people say this game is fairly easy - but trust me, I am no good at racing games!

As the pod racing section going to prove to be a barrier for me, or is it not actually that difficult. How fast is it, for example. How tough are the other racers?

The pod racing is kinda difficult and it will take you some time to beat, but you can get past it.

You have to do three laps and each lap is broken up into three sections of the course. When you get passed one section you don't have to do that section agian (untill the next lap).

Example: If you die in section 1 of lap 1 then you start all over again. However if you get to section 2 of lap one and then die you start out in section 2. And the only way you would have to repeat section 1 of lap 1 is if you leave the entire level without winning the race.

You will probaby die many many times in each section.

And how is it possible to die in these sections?

I understand that one of the unlockables for this game is an invincibility cheat. If I unlocked this cheat, would that stop me from dying - and even if so, does that still leave the challenge of having to beat the other pod-racers.

Sorry to go on and on about this, but as I said, I rubbish at racing games, so I'm sort of basing my whole decision on whether to get LEGO STAR WARS, on what the pod-racing section is like, and how it actually plays.

You only need to finish the race in one piece. There are various ways to "die" such as falling into a hole or running into part of the scenery. If you can get the invincibility, you should be okay. The only catch is that it costs 1,000,000 studs.

the racing pod is moving on "rails" what means that you can tap arrow keys to move the pod from side to side. but the pod
automatically turns in corners. So you have just to throttle and dodge scenery with arrow keys. That means that the racing pod is moving automatically and you just have to thorttle and
avoid hitting scenery or holes.

I don't mean to brag, but the first time I went through the pod racing minigame, I didn't know what the acceleration button was. I didn't even know they had one, so I did the whole race through without accelerating, I just used the turbo pads. Took a couple tries, but I got it.

It's accually pretty easy I beat the first time I played it.

this took me a while but it is sort of difficult especialy at the tusken raiders you have to dodge thier gunfire and falling rocks and you also have to get past someome at before time runs out but if you are good at dodging you should be okay especially if you can use when going fast
