Eh... It kind of... Died. Nobody was making new things, so it didn't really stay bumped. You're allowed to necropost in it as long as you submit something though

He got banned for something or other, and tried to bypass. I kinda get the feeling he got banned again.

Anyhow, welcome to the forum. We ain't much, but we're probably a lot friendlier than some of the alternative sites!

If you need anew mod I vote for Krunal..he seems bored with FFXII....

I 've sort of tossed around the idea of doing my own game from time to time but never have the ..well..time.....

Ive been to Newgrounds so I know how hard it is to develope something worthwhile...

I would like to see /find a decent amatuer game..an rpg..if anyone knows of one developed with this software let me know so I can try it.

Take care gang...

re: Introduction Thread III

Hello guys, Reives here. I've been using RMXP for a bit over two years, making my little project Quintessence - TBV (which I do intend to post here in the future). I am a game music composer, and will probably post a few songs to share as resources as well.

I remember seeing you on some other sites, your project was quite impressive back when the first demo was released.

Welcome to neoseeker, we're not much, but we have brownies.

re: Introduction Thread III

Hey there, thanks for the welcome. The project has came a long way from when the first demo was released; I'd say at least 200 folds. :x I don't mean that in a vain way, just relative to itself.

Reading through the posts, I like this forum - seems very homey. The only thing is that Neoseekers board's mechanics seem a bit messy/chaotic. I'll get used to it though. c:

re: Introduction Thread III

It does get pretty hectic, and since we only have 1 board dedicated to RMXP, it generally gets filled with help topics.

I think a lot of us are just here to help each other out anyway, so i think it works out fine.

O hai.
I saw you posting in the feedback topic earlier..
It's good to see you posting here, as this forum is normally being frowned upon by the staff at rmxp.org.

I like this forum - seems very homey.
It's a very small community compared to that of .org.
Many members come and go though.. (including myself, I'm still gone)

About that, I've recently formatted my laptop, so I won't be making anymore games..(ok maybe a small one) (not that I ever finished a second one though..)

Anyway, I hope you continue to like this forum. There are a few members here that keep on posting, even in dark times when there's little to zero activity here. You'll probably find them to be very 'homey' too..

Edit:
Arion posted too fast.

And, as you can see, we're weird too...

*glances at arion's post*

Of course, I'm the weirdest of the bunch, but I've been trying to moderate my oddness to some degree of acceptability.

re: Introduction Thread III

Hello everyone.

My name is Seraph. I am a writer, and a scripter-in-training.

For those of you who remember RPG Maker 2000/3, and the insane limits that those platforms imposed, I am absolutely impressed with the new RPG Maker XP Ruby-based RGSS/2 scripting system.

Finally, a platform that allows for simple creations for the simple, and advanced/professional creations for those willing to take the extra steps required. I recently found out about RMXP, although I'm sure it has been out for a while now.

I remember with RPG Maker 2000/3, we had to manipulate switches and variables in order to create systems and scenes that we wanted. I, personally, became very good at doing that, and after a while, the only limitations became the amount of variables that the platform offered. Now, the name of the game has changed, and with RGSS I can expect to see many quality games.

Again, I am a writer at heart, and I'm currently writing a storyline/screenplay of my own. I am also creating a website where I will post reviews and screenshots for all RPG Maker 95/2000/2003/XP games, subject to creator's approval. There have been a few good games in my time, some of which I can't remember the names. I personally helped write, code, and idea a few of them.

If anyone needs help writing a scene, or would like me to completely take over their project in terms of story, ideas, and flow, feel free to PM me. Anyone looking for writing advice or common pitfalls, await my upcoming tutorials.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and I look forward to participating.

re: Introduction Thread III

Welcome to neo mister angel man. Glad to see you've moved on over to join us with rmxp. I dont know much about the older versions, but i've never found 5000 switches and variables to be limiting, hopefully you wont either ^^
