Hey Shy welcome to Neoseekers RPG Maker XP forum

Xelrog T. Apocalypse - in all my *ADVERTISING IS BAD* glory.

I'm a spriter of 5 years and webmaster of one of the largest sprite communities around, and I recently stumbled into the game-making industry about 2 years ago, taking my first step with RPG Maker XP. Unfortunately, due to a series of errors and scripting/financial setbacks too ridiculously numerous to emphasize, I have yet to release my first game, one of the launching titles of a vast and interwoven series exclusive to The Spriter's Alliance.

I'm an expert spriter and (apparently) acclaimed mapper, writer, and eventer. Scriptwise, however, I'm as dull as a toothpick. I've taken a few cracks at both Game Maker and MUGEN in the past, as well, and have a project or two planned for each - though the vast majority of my work is and will always be in RMXP.

People have also told me that I have the mysterious ability to raise forums from the dead. Let's hope that reputation doesn't fail me. ^^

I can't say I can compete with half the people here, I'm sure. At least not in terms of single maps.

I'm working with a kind of 'world map' system in my current game, though. You know, a non-fading transition between two areas that makes it seem like it's all a single map... much like the Pokémon games. I'm big on the dimensions, so I'm trying to make it as accurate as possible, with a working series of cave systems beneath the main overworld. <=3


And sorry, lol. It's deader than my other frequent forum which oft refers to itself as dead.

@Xelrog- You sound similar to me! Except I wouldn't call myself an expert spriter as I've been out of the business for a while, mostly due to work, and my skill has gone downhill.
