I just wrote a walk through for another member, so I thought I might as well make a thread for it, so it can be more easily accessed by other users. Plus, lots of other people have tutorials, so I didn't want to feel left out.
These confused me when I began, so I'm sure somebody will find it useful. Skills Tab Walkthrough Name: The name of the skill. Icon: Just the graphic shown in game. Description: A short description of the skill. Scope: Who the skill targets. Occasion: When you can use the skill. User Animation: THe animation shown on the skill user. Target Animation: The animation shown on the skill target. Menu Use SE: THe sound played if the skill is used from the menu. Common Event: Used to link an event to the skill. SP Cost: The sp this skill uses. Power: The base damage for the skill. ATK-F: The percentage of your attack that is added to the damage. EVA-F: The percentage of your EVA (same above) STR-F: % of STR added to damage. DEX-f: % of DEX added to damage. ETC. Hit Rate: % Chance the skill will hit. PDEF-F: Percentage of enemy's PDEF that is used. MDEF-F: Same as above. Variance: How much the skill damage varies. Element: Adds that element to the skill, making anything weak VS. that element take more damage. States: A + means that state will be added when the skill is used, A - means it will be removed. States Tab Walkthrough Name: The name of the State. Animation: Animation shown when the state is inflicted. Restriction: Things the actor cannot do while inflicted with this state. Nonresistance: This state always is inflicted, regardless of resistances. Regard as HP 0: Really only used for Knockout. Can't get EXP: While under this state, the actor receives no EXP. Can't Evade: While under this state, the actor cannot Evade. Slip Damage: Causes the actors HP to fall when taking action. Rating: When Multiple states are inflicted, the one with the highest rating is the one displayed. Hit Rate %: The chance the state will be inflicted. Max HP%: How much HP will be changed when under this state. Can be used to make a "Bubble" skill, as in FFXII. Max SP%: Same as above, but with SP. Strength%: Used to raise or lower strength, when under this state. DEX%: Same as above. AGI%: Same as above. ETC. EVA: When under this state, the actors EVA is changed by amount. Release conditions: The conditions for the state being removed on it's own, without using an Item, etc. Element Defense: When under this state, the actor receive resistance towards checked elements. State Change: When inflicted with this state, + states are added as well, - states are removed. -------------------
