uhmmm, secrets...well, here's a couple of useful hints. The beginning of the game is the best time to level just about every skill you have, since there's no specialization and nothing hits you hard enough to kill you, you're able to level just about everything that's a pain in the ass later. light and heavy armor for example. The intro gives you the basics to just about every skill in the game, take advantage of it. Since gaining levels is completely optional, this allows maxing skills even at level one if you have the patience.

Oh, and there's a strategically placed chest in one of the rooms when you're escaping the prison...the room with the 2 rats, armor and skeletons on the floor. The room's supported by four beams, when you come in from the right side, turn left, and there's a hole in the wall to your left. The chest in there has some better than junk treasure in it, locked of course.

Uhm..and there will be multiple occasions in which you are breaking in, stealing, or have to open a locked door to get somewhere important. Leveling either Alteration or Security is a really good idea.

I don't have any suggestions for your Xbox, I myself have a ps3. though they do share alot of the same titles, I can't think of anything aside from what you listed. I'm sure oblivion will take plenty of your life away .

Not a secret but worth noting. The only safe place to leave your goods is in a house you own (when you buy one later), leaving stuff in a something like a chest will likely be replaced by junk sometime later ... that's what the game does.
