i tried to use parasitex vamp mod but i copy the detect life high quality thing and the pxnewvampires_npc into the data folder but it still doesnt work can anyone suggest why

Well, the first thing to ask is:
Did you check the little box under Data Files before launching Oblivion?

If you open Oblivion, don't press play yet, when you're at the place where there is:
-Play
-Options
-Technical Support
-Data Files
-...

Press on 'Data Files'...
There you'll see all the mods you have, with on the left side all little white boxes, check the white box next to your mod and it's activated...
