Bloodgrass Bug - GotY vs. separate discs

Hi all

I'm a happy PS3 owner and I need this excellent game in my collection. The bloodgrass/vampire bug in the GotY edition is pretty much gamebreaking though (and will never be fixed. Gee, thanks...!), so I'm considering picking up Shivering Isles from the US Amazon site since it hasn't been released in Europe (gee, thanks again!).
So my question is, if I pick up the US Shivering Isles PS3 disc, will I have the bug where the cure for vampirism quest can't be completed?

Many thanks in advance

Nevermind. Turns out that purchasing SI from Amazon US costs a fortune. Guess I'll just have to quicksave every step of the way when in vampire infested areas. :\

Vampirism starts out as a simple disease, pyrophyric hemophlia or something like that. You have 3 days to cure it like any other disease.
You can cure it at a chapel, with a cure disease potion, with the cure disease spell/scroll or by eating a piece of mandrake root, root pulp or shepherd's pie.

You don't become a vampire immediately.
You get a message onscreen when you become infected like any other disease and you can check the far right magic menu to see what diseases or spells may be affecting you.

Nice. Thank you.
So I guess it's only really a problem with regards to that mages guild quest then, yes?

Guess so, I've never bothered playing as a vamp. There should be a FAQ/guide about the vampire quest that explains how to complete it.
