ok first off im new to oblivion so i know very little about the game. anyway i was fighting a wolf and the game said i contracted something cant remember what it was but, does anyone know how its going to effect me?

It means you've contracted a disease; diseases effect you differently for each different disease...

To see which one you currently have, check your Current Magic Effects in your Spells section of the Tab menu...

To cure it, seek a chapel and pray at an alter if your bounty is zero, and your fame is higher than your infamy, cast a Cure Disease spell on yourself once you buy/make it, drink a Cure Disease potion, or eat an ingredient who's first effect is Cure Disease, such as Mandrake Root...

yeah you can also buy that stuff if your i the Dark Brotherhood theres a mod with the Dark Alter of Siths basicly the same with a normal alter execpt you need your infame to out number your Fame it at www.tesnexus.com

The only diseases which would really cause you any problems are Porphyric Hemophilia and Astral Vapors.
