Is Arena lockbox the biggest gold source? And is there a tip to picking it. Some guy on youtube says to listen for distinct tones in picking the lockbox, but I hear no tones.

I can't clarify if it's one of the biggest, but if you are somewhat decent with Security (Journeyman 50+) it is worth the risk. There is really no perfect way to picking it, but if you read up on Security there are some tips and advice on locks. Good luck.

Thank you. I've now managed to work out a system that works quite well. There are no GOOD explanations, I should say the explanations just need to be worded differently.

il just give my two bobs worth here, generaly for a good rule, keep bouncing the tumblers and i use the rule that after a quick bounce there will be a slower one, u dont need the tones just look, and kep bouncing the tumbler eventualy you can fugure out a pettern if you have time, ive used this rule to pick v hard locks straight out of the prison, also save before every lockpick attempt

gold finds arent realy alll that good because to buy stuff like houses u need thousands, ur better off adventuring and selling your loot and magical weapons

With lock picking you eventually find there is a pattern in the timings, there's a few bounces that always come after one another and once you're used to it, you'll just do it automatically.

its only 50g not that much i just used the stuff glich and got 10,000 lock picks and cept pressing auto

When you lockpick, you generally want to try the lock a few times. When the bolt goes up really fast, there's a good chance that it will go slow the next time. You have to work with the lock for a bit and get pretty good at lockpicking, but soon you should be able to pick anything. I can get into pretty much any Very Hard lock with less than 25 Security.

And no, it's not only 50g, it's 500g.

Idk why everyone has such trouble picking locks. The tumblers have basic patterns (each tumblers different) just hit it up a few times to find the pattern and then click. The patterns can be a bit long until they repeat themselves. (not like super long around ten falls maybe)
