re: Anyone use a 7800 AGP card for this game????

7800GS? I use one, the BFG OC version.

The framerates are pretty good. Depends on what yuor standards are though, if you want to play at top res, or with AA, HDR and whatever.

I've been playing with top settings until recently. You can see the results of that here.

Note that I have a slow processor, and had a cheap sound card. When I got myself an x-fi, I got a nice FPS increase. It is very dependable on other factors I noticed. For instance, if you have a dual core, you can expect FPS to be up to 50% higher.

Back to the graphics card, I play now at 1024, Bloom, AA4x, and it never drops below 25 fps, even in fights outdoors, and averages 50 fps indoors. It suits me better than HDR and Aliased 1280.

Stuttering is a common symptom of HD thrashing, or AKA not enough RAM. The stuttering is caused in game at points where it decides to load the distant grids, and is not dependant on Graphics. I noticed it when I decided to increase the grid load distance. Another cause of stuttering is with sound being loaded into Ram before it plays.

I've never experienced much stuttering at all until I started fiddling with things, so you might want to look at other parts of your system, or software running parallel to the game, such as virus/firewalls, and spyware.

nice sounds good.

It should be better then what im using now anyway. I can overclock my processor if i have to.

I just get some bad lag when a few npc come into screen or at certain towns.

The way I have it now which is very high (game auto set it for me) is fine just the lag that i mentioned. Would you recommend get the 7800 for this game? Everything else in my comp is more then enough for it.
