I'm having a slight problem here. I have found 4 tears and can not find the 5th one. I have searched all around the icy patch, between rocks, and on top of rocks by statues.

Any ideas?

There are 4 on the ice around the statue, and 1 on top of the rocks where the statue itself is. If you've combed the whole statue area and are 100% sure there aren't any other tears, odds are you kicked one of them while you were walking around, so it could be anywhere in the glade.

Helps to wait until after dark to cut down on glare.

I tried everything mentioned here and everywhere I could find with a Google search. I think I'll stop by the temple and say a prayer to the nine that I find it. In the mean time, I'll continue with other quests - I got 17 active ones and have only closed 2 Oblivion gates thus far.

Yeah that mission took me ages aswell its a right pain in the a** just had to keep searchin round the ice bit thaqt hurts you. not only that i was a vampire aswell. i used more restore health on that mission than ive used in the whole game i think. lol. the fifth tear is there though the fifth one i found is in the right hand side of the little ice patch thingy just on the edge on a rock

Since you guys seem to think it's so easy, why not load my save file and see if you can't help me out some and tell me where I'm missing it.

Its very easy if you don't accidentally kick one while searching. If you kicked one hard enough it may be lost forever. I had to use the console on PC to put the 5th on in my inventory after searching for hours.

also i noticed on the 360 version that the ones that are actually on the ice show up on the map as a little tiny brown dot However if its anywhere near a rock your screwed cus all the rocks are brown too
