Windows XP 64

I have been thinking about upgrading my PC to a new OS.
Windows XP 64.
Does anyone know if Oblivion will run on that?

Hehe , Kinda strange that I am basing my purchase of OS on Oblivion.

re: Windows XP 64

... can your system run it? go start>all programs>accesseries(i think, havent used pre-xp for a long time)>control pannel>system

itll say all your computer information there.

reading this off the back of the box:

minimum requirments
windows xp
512 ram
2 ghz intel processor, so i think 1.8 amd would work just very lousily
nvidia 5500 and above

although i had a 5500 and it didnt work worth crap. i recommend at least a 6600 gt to run it, and youll find the game is unenjoyably laggy without a gig of ram so if your computer passes all the requirments...then ya windows xp will work. although ive never heard of xp 64? are you confused with windows xp ON the amd athlon 64?

re: Windows XP 64

On the requirements I believe that the requirements are a minimum. Oblivion should work on Windows XP, Windows XP x64 Edition, and Windows Server 2003. I would imagine it will be compatible with Windows Vista (or Windows VI) too.

re: Windows XP 64

Don't get x64, it's still *bleep*ed for gaming, and I hear Oblivion has problems with it. Just get XP, or wait for Vista.

re: Windows XP 64

You can do both of those, and just about anything else, with Samurize.
