Babysitting *maybe spoiler* |
|
There are a few quests where you have to go out and do something dangerous and in the process you have to prevent someone from dying.

I don't think you need to worry about him. Since he's a main character, he can't die. He'll just get knocked out for a few seconds, then he'll gleefully jump up and get smacked again.

I believe Martin CAN DIE! But only at one place in the game I believe, and that's at the battle outside of Bruma (had a message, "A character required to successfully complete this quest has died"). But only in that battle, and I think if you have enough aid, it won't really be a problem =P. ------------------- Signature's FTL!... err... wait... ooohhh... too late -.-.

i just finished it, he had a crown emblem...and might i say i was rather disappointed at the enthusiasm of the reinforcements...they all stood there as 2 at a time came out to the field to help, i had to do everything!

To identify if a NPC can die, or is just knocked out, you move cursor over the person. If cursor turns to a crown, he can't die. If it turns to a hard-to-describe decorated circle, he can die.

i had 14 people including me there, and the rest stood around with their thumbs up their asses. Burd and Jauffre, along with a few other soldiers, died. Martin still seemed happy though.
